Some flowers we love for June weddings & why😍

1. Hydrangeas - thanks to their beautiful, cloud-like blooms that create maximum impact with minimal stems, adding softness, romance and volume to bouquets and floral installations!

2. Candy rose - these have soft, romantic tones and beautifully ruffled petals! They add a timeless elegance to bouquets and floral arrangements and have excellent vase life 🌸

3. Lisianthus is a fantastic choice for June weddings (in our opinion) due to their delicate, rose-like blooms bring an elegant, romantic feel. They have exceptional longevity too so they’ll stay looking beautiful from the ceremony right through to the evening celebrations☺️

4. Scabious - such a beauty to work with in June, bringing a soft, airy quality to bouquets and arrangements. Their unique shape and gentle movement help to create an effortless ‘gathered-from-the-garden’ look that many couples love ✨

5. Spray roses - with multiple delicate blooms on each stem creating plenty of texture and softness. They’re perfect for adding a relaxed, romantic feel to bouquets, buttonholes and floral installations!🌸

When we first started hosting workshops at The Flower Plant, it was simply a way to share what we love.

Floristry has always been about more than just flowers for us - it’s about creativity, connection, and taking a moment to make something beautiful with your hands.

Over time, they’ve become such an important part of what we do. Throughout the year, we now run a wide variety of sessions - from hand-tied bouquet workshops and spring wreath making to floral meadow designs and even children’s workshops!

Something we’re really proud of is the introduction of ‘Flower School’ and ‘Taster Days’ to our catalog of events. There’s something very special about seeing people come in, often a little unsure, and leave with something they’re genuinely proud of and taking away new skills✨

Workshops for us have become so much more than we ever anticipated. They’ve helped us to strengthen relationships with our customers, get to know them and build a community around what we do. They’ve also allowed us to share our knowledge and passion in a way that feels really natural and fulfilling for us🥰
