Spent the weekend facepainting myself and my little family for our stag tribe costumes at got to paint a few little bees and foxes too along the way

Another day another prompt to get my creative ideas flowing when I practice. Today's word was 'berries'.
I love painting some strawberry freckles, but I thought I'd give a different layout a go since I was painting on my own arm and went for a daisy crowned strawberry flourish 😍

Today’s prompt was: water 🌊
No plan, no sketch… just me painting and then Rex fully narrating the entire process like it’s a nature documentary.

Apparently at one point I was
“adding details… lots of details… she’s still going… still going…”
Which is fair, because I did start with a vague idea and then somehow ended up drifting off into dots for surf and unicorn horn shells.
This is basically how my brain works when I paint —
just keep going until it feels right (or I run out of arm space!)

…I'm not sure what he actually meant was an angry looking grasshopper 😂🐛

But considering Flynn's current bug obsession I was probably quite lucky it was something this recognisable, so here we were just rolling with it.

I love how specific (and slightly chaotic) kids’ ideas are — and how creativity becomes this shared little world between you and the little person in the chair.

Not sure he wanted it this dramatic… but honestly? I stand by her attitude.

A quiet moment at home today, just me, some paint… and a few drawing prompts which settled me into painting a little piece of history

The prompt today was 'shell' , I went for ammonite!

There’s something really grounding about painting natural forms — the patterns, the spirals, the reminder that nature gets it right every time.
No pressure, no outcome… just creating for the joy of it.

Just what I needed.
