Boombox Circus is an eclectic mix of organic, hand-picked, locally produced artists brought together through sound system culture. Our community members provide a bespoke audio-visual experience, tantalising the senses through multi-genre music, art, performance and more. At Boombox Circus you will find a showcase of some of the North’s finest underground performers, bands, lion tamers, artists, s

ound systems and DJ's, but that is not the limit; we also regularly feature guest appearances and headliners from across the UK and further afield. This circus welcomes all so come along, let your hair down and party with the best underground acts the North has to offer!

Championed by DJ Mag, Clash, The Wire, and Resident Advisor, her debut album Bashi earned widespread critical acclaim, marking her as a standout force in experimental electronic music. Her fourth studio album, Ireti, released in 2024 on Matthew Herbert’s Accidental Records, was named one of the year’s best albums by Mixmag and Bandcamp.

After delivering an absolutely killer set at Freedom Mills with Rave Aid back in October, we can’t wait to welcome NikNak back to the SubDub room for a seriously special New Year’s Eve session.
