Then you’ve come to the right place. My name is Sheryl Reed and I have a background of over Twenty years in theatrical costume making and in the last six years I’ve concentrated on creating classical tutus, attending courses run by Suzanne Dieckmann who’s designed and created Tutus for major ballet companies. A quality bespoke fitted Tutu involves hours and hours of hand sewing which invariably affects the cost, so I also offer a cheaper stretch version for those with a tight budget.

Welcome to Tutus by Sew Sheryl.
I am sorry to announce that due to the cost of materials I will no longer be making bespoke made to measure tutu’s. I will however be using up the materials I have already bought in to make a number of off the peg tutu’s that I will advertise on here to sell once made. I will still be making dance costumes as well but this will be on the same terms.
This is a very difficult time for everybody and I will be in touch with everyone who has a slot booked in my diary. Keep dancing and stay safe!

Wow! Decided to brave it and reopen for bespoke made to measure tutus and costumes this weekend and I am amazed to say I am now FULLY BOOKED for custom tutus and costumes for 2022. I will be making new ready-to-wear off the peg items as I have time, so please keep watching my page if you need a new tutu or costume.

I’m just mulling over whether to start making stretch Lycra shorts in blue gingham print ( to start with other colours maybe later if this is viable) for underneath primary school girls gingham summer dresses.
