We were delighted to host HEFMA's 2026 National Leadership Forum last week (27–29 May) at the Royal Armouries, welcoming a record number of delegates to Leeds. 👏

Themed "Fit for the Future", the event featured an excellent programme of speakers alongside a vibrant exhibition showcasing the latest products, services, and solutions. Spaces across our venue were transformed to create the perfect setting for inspiring keynotes, insightful discussions, and meaningful conversations, bringing together peers, suppliers, buyers, and decision-makers from across the healthcare sector.

Events like these highlight the flexibility of the Royal Armouries as a conference and exhibition venue. From large-scale plenary sessions and exhibitions to networking receptions and breakout discussions, our unique spaces combine historic character with modern event capabilities to deliver memorable experiences and meaningful outcomes for organisers and delegates.

Small actions matter! 💜

Yesterday, the team took some time away from our desks to come together for a wellbeing lunch as part of Mental Health Awareness Week - a chance to pause, catch up properly and check in with each other.

When work gets busy, it can be easy to miss the signs that someone might be feeling stressed or overwhelmed, which is why making time to talk and support colleagues matters.

Supporting wellbeing is something the team at the Royal Armouries continue to focus on all year round through Mental Health First Aiders, access to wellbeing resources and support, and encouraging open conversations across teams.

We’re also proud that Royal Armouries is once again supporting Leeds Wellbeing Week from 1–7 June by offering complimentary room hire for wellbeing sessions taking place across the city.

Last week, our team members Louise and Naomi were proud to represent Royal Armouries Conference & Events at the ABPCO Festival of Learning 2026 in Nottingham.

It was fantastic to connect with colleagues and partners from across the events industry for a day of knowledge sharing, fresh ideas, and meaningful conversations. Events like these are a great reminder of the strength of our industry community despite various challenges and hardships, and we always enjoy reconnecting with familiar faces while meeting new colleagues and building new relationships along the way.

Louise also joined the panel of ABPCO 2025 Excellence Award Winners to share the successful case study behind our Best Partnership Award win last year. Safe to say, we take partnerships and relationships seriously!

A huge thank you to ABPCO for the opportunity to sponsor and support such a brilliant event and learning experience, and for being wonderful hosts throughout the day.
