This weekend, Sparq was proud to be the Technical Production Partner and Principal Sponsor of the Royal Television Society North East and Border Awards at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead.
 
With more than 400 industry professionals in the room, it was a fantastic evening celebrating the very best in screen production and journalism across the region. 
 
We were also pleased to sponsor the Post Production Award. Congratulations to Steffi Orme on her win.
 
As one of our longest standing partnerships, and with the 40th year approaching in 2027, we are incredibly proud to have supported the awards from the very beginning.

We are proud to have sponsored the Heart for Heroes awards at Headingley Stadium!

The Hero Awards celebrate everyday heroes across Yorkshire, and it was an honour to support such a meaningful event.

A special highlight was the ‘Bright Sparq of the Year Award’, recognising someone who showed brilliant initiative and made a real difference.

Helen Elam presented the award, with the wonderful Emma Lenney and David Dixon (Dixie) hosting the evening.

Our team had a fantastic time attending and being part of an evening that recognises the incredible people making a difference in our communities.

Great to work with Liz Paver from Communicorp UK on this event, and congratulations to all the winners and nominees.

Prism Healthcare 2026 Big Thank You Awards!

We loved being part of this fantastic event at the Leeds Marriott Hotel, a great opportunity to recognise the team who make it all happen.

It was to celebrate the everyday impact the team has on each other, their customers, and the wider community.

What a brilliant event last night. 🎉 We celebrated student work from across the region in Sunderland at our first ever dedicated student awards ceremony. So much talent on display and it was great to see the reaction of all winners. The first of many awards we hope for them and a great launch pad for their future careers.

We look forward to seeing the winners once again at our main regional awards ceremony on 28th February.

A big thanks to University of Sunderland for hosting us this year, our host for the ceremony Graeme Thompson, our special guest Carley Armstrong and a thank you to all of our generous sponsors and presenters!

Sparq Kick-Off 2026!

What a way to start the year! Our Kick-Off event brought the whole team together to celebrate what we achieved in 2025 and get excited about what’s ahead.

We started with team-building activities from Avva Experience which had everyone laughing and working together in new ways.

ConkerAI joined us for a talk on AI that sparked some great conversations. We left with practical ideas that we’re already thinking about how to implement this year.

The evening carried on at a pub we had all to ourselves... complete with bingo and a quiz. It’s these moments that really bring the team together.

Grateful for our team and ready for 2026!
