Thanks to everyone who joined us on our latest Heritage Pub and History Walk exploring the history of Briggate - a street dating back to the thirteenth century. It was a pleasure leading this lovely bunch of people from the magnificent St John The Evangelist’s Church to the former headquarters for the Joshua Tetley & Son Brewery, The Tetley, via Briggate’s beautiful Victorian arcades and ancient yards. We also shared some fascinating stories along the way! If you would like to learn more about Briggate and our city’s rich heritage, sign up for one of our coming events in August, September and October. https://itsthebeertalking.co.uk/

Heading to the
International Medieval Congress - University of Leeds?
There are still places free on our campus walking tour, an afternoon ramble with some fascinating stories from local history, visits to landmark buildings - and a couple of pub stops. And it ends at the Making Leeds Medieval event, the spectacular finale to the Congress.

Specially for delegates to the International Medieval Congress, this campus walking tour features stories from the past - and two pub stops.

It was a pleasure to lead a lunchtime walk with Nicky Massen for Leeds City Council sharing some stories about our city's history with a great group.
And we've just added lots more walks to our events calendar for June and July - it would be great to have you along: https://itsthebeertalking.co.uk/coming-events/

Industrial espionage, astonishing architecture - and the shameful human auction held in the city centre a little over 100 years ago - join our walking tour next Saturday at noon for these tales and more from the history of Leeds. Oh, and we'll have a couple of drink stops along the way.
Plenty of tickets still available. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1984054314865?aff=oddtdtcreator
