On this day in 1982, the Haçienda opened its doors for the first time.

Two DJs who were instrumental in the rise of this iconic venue will be playing extended DJ sets at REVISITED: Graeme Park / Dave Haslam - DAYCLUBBING on Sat 25th July 2026 at The Backroom Leeds.

Graeme Park made his debut at The Haçienda in February 1988. He was invited by resident DJ Mike Pickering to showcase their respective record labels at a midweek event called the "Northern House Review".

Dave Haslam made his debut at the Haçienda on May 1st 1986; Justin Robertson, Laurent Garnier, and the Chemical Brothers all later credited his sets as an inspiration. In 1990 he played Spike Island with the Stone Roses and took part in a Haçienda tour of the USA.
