A special request for this weekend’s birthday boy, ‘The Colour Monster’.

We don’t usually do parties but this little Woodland Wanderer has been attending for a long time, how could we say no?!

We used pipettes to sq**rt paint at our very own Colour Monster to take home, mixed colourful monster potions, painted our see through sheet and cooked up colourful feasts in the mud kitchen.

Thank you all for coming! It was great to meet so many new families even if there was not much time to chat due to the important job of ‘potion refiller’ 😆

What a wonderful session! Our first one in 2024 and what a fantastic way to start.

Lots of Gruffalo themed play today and some enthusiastic parachute fans to finish the session too!

We have very limited PAYG space available up until the end of March so if you fancy joining us head to the website to browse dates and book.

Next week’s book is ‘The Star that Fell’ where we will be exploring sparkly things, treasure and foil painting.

Come and join in the fun . Our new sessions start the week beginning 19th February on Mondays and Fridays.

Sessions are 10-11am and are aimed at children from 12months to school age. 50% sibling discount is offered on block bookings! Siblings under 12 months are free of charge.

After priority block booking any remaining spaces will be offered as PAYG nearer the time.

Last week’s Coffee, Cake and Calm was bird themed!

The babies had a brilliant time munching through the weetabix nest and porridge tray.

They explored lots of different textures from feathers to straw and wicker to fabric.

They enjoyed sitting and lying underneath our ‘autumn tree’. They developed their hand eye coordination as they reached out to grab the branches.

As always the parachute at the end was very popular. It’s lovely to hear the shrieks of excitement and happy giggles coming from the babies.

Just three baby sessions left this year!They have been so popular that next year I am considering running three sessions rather than two through spring and summer. Thank you all for your support with promoting them!

A ‘Loose Parts Station’ today to continue our Autumn themed fun. It’s such an easy one to try at home with your Autumn treasures.

We saw some lovely pieces of art at this station today.

Loose parts are also incredible for mathematical development. They are just so versatile. From creating patterns to sorting, counting and grouping, sharing and symmetry. The possibilities really are endless.

It’s ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar Week’.

Today the babies have enjoyed exploring real fruits and vegetables. They have been able to rummage around in the canvas bags to make their own selections as well as tasting and smelling the foods.

We been swinging in the hammock feeling a little bit like a caterpillar in a cocoon. We’ve been wriggling in the mud and developing our core strength as we reach and grab butterflies and paper lanterns.

The silver pebbles and reflective balls from have been extremely popular and very handy for teething babies as they stay nice and cool.

Next week is ‘Pumpkin Week’ it’s sold out but it’s not too later to grab your spot for October if you hurry! 5 places left.

Beach Holiday!

Today is our first double baby session, one running in the morning and one in the afternoon!

We’ve had a ‘whale’ of a time splashing in the water try, wiggling toes in the sand and practising our crawling in the beach tent.

Our Coffee, Cake and Calm September sessions will be added to book tonight!

If September looks to be as popular as the summer I will add some afternoon slots too!

The Tiger Who Came to Tea!

Today there was a tiger’s tea party, wild animal tray and dry grassland for the babies to explore.

People often ask what age the babies need to be to attend. Our Coffee, Cake and Calm session is for whenever you are ready to leave the house with baby right up to 12 months!

Some parents wonder if their baby is too young for the session but it’s never too early to get your little one out into the fresh air. We’ve had babies as young as 6 weeks old. The youngest babies often sleep through the session allowing parents a little moment of calm in the beautiful woodland and time to chat to other parents. It’s great to see the babies become more alert and interested in the world as the weeks go by.

Our next session will be Thursday 24th August and this will be added to the website to book in the next few days. If spaces disappear really quickly I will add an afternoon session with the potential to make this a regular session if it’s popular enough. have already said they can provide more treats!

A few from ‘Room on the Broom Week’ last week!

We had fun with magic potions, cauldron creations and broomstick painting. Some of the children stayed at the potion station for the whole session! It really was popular.

This week it’s all about the seaside with our ‘Rainbow Fish’ theme. All sessions are fully booked this week.

Don’t forget there are no sessions next week so get booking for the week after!

Week beginning 21st August is all about frogs and the week beginning 28th August is all about bears! This theme is back by popular demand after our teddy bears picnic session.

Don’t forget our September and October bookings are now live for our preschool sessions. There are 2 week mini blocks all the way to full 7 week blocks available so hopefully something for everyone!
