Well what can I say?! Just WOW!

We've had the most amazing two Sunday's and a massive round of applause to everyone involved! 👏🏼

I am sure teachers and families are beyond proud! A fantastic standard of dancers and talent on stage and still all very humble off stage 🩷

A lot of support shown backstage for one another and new friendships made which is what comps are all about - more than dancing...memories made for life 🥰

Thank you to our delightful adjudicator who was most caring, encouraging and constructive to all.

Thank you to my supportive team who really are a dream team and help everything run so smoothly from start to finish 🙏

Hope to see you all again soon! Keep a look out for future festivals.... (Feb and July 2027 dates tbc)

Meet our adjudicator for the next two weekends - Fay George - FIDTA

Fay began dancing at the age of three, training at her mother and grandmother’s school in Leeds, and performed in theatre and television from the age of nine.

At 18, she secured her first professional contract at Casino Estoril in Lisbon, where she progressed to a lead aerial dance artist specialising in Corde Lisse, Aerial Hoop and Silks. Fay later trained at The Circus Space in London and performed at numerous high-profile events and corporate productions here in the UK.

She went on to spend seven years performing internationally as a dancer, trapeze and aerial artist in Broadway r***e and cirque productions for Princess Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Casino de Perla and 360 Evolution (Shenzhen, China). After more than ten years working worldwide, Fay returned to Leeds, partnered her mother in the family dance school, and gained her teaching qualifications.

Now a Fellow of the IDTA in multiple genres and a proud member of the IDTA Miss Dance Committee, Fay is passionate about nurturing individuality and creativity in all dancers and is always working to inspire the next generation of performers.

Documenting our half term Acro workshop with one thing I noticed was how mature and committed these little juniors were to their craft and each so focused to improve 💪🏼 there were very strong girls in the room - fantastic to see! Thank you all for attending - thank you Jade for your love and reliable expertise for Acro 🫶🏼

Wow wow wow, what a weekend we just had!! I'm in awe of the energy levels the dancers brought, all sharing and showing a true love for dance 🩷 supporting their own team mates but also caring and cheering for other dancers from other schools backstage was beautiful to see 😍

Teachers and families should be so so proud! Dance competitions are not just about dance, they are about having fun, making new friends and everyone coming together, creating a feel good and friendly space. We certainly did that 🫶🏼

Thank you to our wonderful adjudicator who was so warm and encouraging to all dancers from babies to seniors - providing helpful feedback and guidance throughout.

Thank you to my team around me who are so important and help make everything run so smoothly. A lot of time and effort has been spent and I am truly grateful and appreciative!

Swipe to meet our adjudicator this weekend - Eleanor Bechthold - DDE ISTD

Eleanor began dancing at a young age, winning several championship titles as well as reaching the final 12 of Miss Dance of Great Britain at Sheffield City Hall. At 16, Eleanor attended SLP College in Leeds on a full DADA scholarship where she gained a Trinity Diploma in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre.

Upon graduation, Eleanor went on to work in Theatres and Casinos throughout Europe and Asia. Eleanor was later employed as a dancer for Princess Cruises and worked her way up the ranks to eventually becoming Company Performance Manager. Eleanor appeared in Seasons 1 & 2 of the hit ITV documentary "The Cruise" in her role as Company Performance Manager while onboard the Regal and Royal Princess. During her career, Eleanor has had the privilege of working with some of the world’s leading choreographers and has performed in over 40 major scale production shows.

After a very successful professional performing career, Eleanor made the decision to open her own dance school and in 2017, El Dance Studios was established.
Since opening El Dance Studios, Eleanor has helped students gain places into some of the top schools, universities and associate programmes in the country including The Royal Ballet School, Elmhurst Ballet School, Tring Park, SLP College and Addict Dance to name a few.

Her school has a very successful competition team with her dancers placing at regional and national championships and have recently qualified to represent team England at the 2026 Dance World Cup in Dublin.

Eleanor is a fully qualified ISTD dance teacher holding a level 4 Diploma in Dance Education and Acrobatic Arts Module 1.

She is an experienced and encouraging adjudicator and loves seeing young performers having fun up onstage.
Eleanor has dedicated her life to dance and adores seeing dancers grow and achieve amazing results within this industry.
