Your wedding day isn’t a photo shoot, I will not spend all day posing you and taking you away from your guests, it’s a day for you to enjoy. I will go above and beyond to get the very best wedding photographs for you! Full day coverage is a full day, usually around 12 hours including much more than just the first dance. With a wealth of experience spanning over ten years in the industry, I absolutely love what I do and the value of excellent photography (and if I won the lottery I would still be doing it). A wedding is about more than just the love of two people. It’s about the bonds and relationships with loved ones you’ve chosen to include in your wedding day. The real moments where you feel in between the doing are my absolute favourite moments to capture. I want you to be able to look back in twenty years time and remember how your wedding day felt. To remember that moment before your wedding ceremony outside Bilton House in Harrogate when you’ve seen your dad for the first time and remember how he greeted you with love and pride and tears. I want you to remember holding back your tears and the words he said to you before you walked down the aisle. To me being present is incredibly important in life. I’m a full time wedding photographer with a side hustle as a yoga teacher. I teach a couple of yoga classes a week and teach connecting with the body, breath, the now and accepting within the practice where you are today rather than getting hung up on perfection. It’s fair to say that I take the same approach to photographing weddings. For me, the perfect moments are the ones where you are fully present as the most authentic version of you 🤍✨

The job of a wedding photographer is more than just taking pictures. There’s a lot of organising people and working to timelines and adapting to changes. At every wedding I try to get an everybody shot. A picture of all the guests before the group shots. It’s the picture that takes the longest to organise and I like to make it a bit of fun. A couple of months ago Dawn and Tim were married at Hollins Hall with a huge fun filled day. The lovely shot this BTS of me doing my thing.
The majority of the day, my job is more observational than directing and I specialise in natural documentary storytelling wedding photography in Yorkshire.
