This year marks 20 years in the face painting industry 🎨💖

Two decades of painting tiny tigers, magical butterflies, superheroes, princesses, festival faces and creating special memories for families and events. What started as a passion grew into a career I genuinely love, and I still feel incredibly grateful every time I pick up a brush.

Over the years I’ve had the privilege not only of working with amazing clients, but also of teaching face painting masterclasses, delivering demos, and sharing skills and knowledge with other artists too. Supporting creativity and helping others grow in this industry is something I’m hugely passionate about.

Twenty years in, I’m still learning, still creating, and still absolutely in love with what I do.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way — clients, event organisers, fellow artists, students and followers. You’re all part of this journey and I appreciate every one of you 💕

I’ll always continue sharing educational content for both clients and artists because I believe our industry deserves professionalism, respect, and kindness.

I’ve seen a huge uptick in enquiries from corporate clients with big budgets wanting face painters to take a risk on being paid , and lots of enquiries for events, only on for a few hours but asking for huge “pitch fees” to attend .
One client even sent me a flyer which literally showed the event date with a “fee” to attend and work!
I need to be honest about something-
Face painters are NOT market stalls 🎨

If you’re organising an event and asking a face painter to pay a pitch fee so they can attend…
…and then expect them to charge families directly just to try and make their money back…

That’s not booking entertainment.
That’s asking someone to take all the risk for your event.

A professional face painter brings:
✨ Professional products
✨ Insurance
✨ Hygiene standards
✨ Years of experience
✨ Showstopping designs while working quickly

We’re not “a stall”.
We’re part of the entertainment.

The best events work like this:
The organiser books and pays the entertainer.
Then the face painting becomes part of the experience for guests

Respect creative professionals.
Pay them for their work.
