💛 Claire Muir Photography is taking a break 💛

I have thought long and hard about what to write here, so here goes.

I have been photographing your weddings, families, newborns and special occasions for over 12 years. In that 12 years, I have met some amazing people, got to see pure love first hand and made friends for life.

As some of my recent brides will know, my health at the moment isn't great. I always give everything I can to every wedding, but at the moment, it's at the detriment of my life outside of weddings. Coming to the realisation that I can't keep doing this as a job I love has been heartbreaking.

Having said that, I am not planning on making this a permanent change/closure. My focus over the next weeks/months/years is to continue working with my doctors to find some way to improve the symptoms of the conditions I have. I'm so hopeful that I will get to the point that I will be able to get back to doing what I love.

So I want to reassure you that I'm still around, I'm not closing my page, not getting rid of any equipment, and will maybe post some other wedding related content in the meantime.

On Saturday 17th August, I went to meet Cara and Davie for their wedding. The day was honestly so relaxed and SO much fun! Their ceremony was conducted by Marvin Andrews, ex Rangers player, at Carluke Golf Club.

This was my last wedding of the year and I was promised fun and it's exactly what we got! Lots of love and lots of fun, exactly as they wanted.

Thank you guys again for letting me be a part of your special day. Have an amazing honeymoon

Wow wow wow! What a day we had yesterday at the wedding of Louise and Paul. Beautiful loved up couple, fantastic guests and beautiful weather!

Yesterday, 30th May, I went to meet Jess and Andy for their wedding. I worked with Mary Jane Photography page who took these wonderful photos of the couple, and their wonderful wedding party and families. The day was so chilled, relaxed, and honestly so much fun.

They got ready at Radstone Hotel and had their lovely ceremony at St Patrick's Church in Shotts, then back to The Radstone for group photos and their reception.

Thank you guys again for having us with you on your big day, it was an absolute pleasure.

A few weeks ago, on the 4th May, I had the absolute pleasure to capture the wedding day of Natalie and Ralph, the new Mr & Mrs Keith. The day was so chilled, full of love and laughter 💛

The day took place at Gleddoch House in Langbank, and I was joined by Mary at Mary Jane Photography page to help me out on the day.

On Wednesday, 2nd August, I went along to Lochside House in New Cumnock for the wedding of Cameron & Natasha. Oh my days, what a gorgeous setting for a gorgeous couple! Everything about the day was just beautiful and I felt so welcome and honestly felt like a guest.
