A quick ‘Hi’ from our Alpacas

They are the calmest of our farm brood. They are often in the farmyard early morning, waiting patiently for their breakfast, where they love a good sociable chat with each other whilst eating.

This timid trio are our farm cats. We re-homed them from a rescue centre. They were feral cats from all over, one as far as Essex.

They are now getting used to place in a cosy and secure spot in our barn. Halfway their quarantine time, they are starting to get curious.

AINSLEY spends much of his time watching the geese outside from the comfort of his cat bed.

GINO is the most timid but makes sure he is around for food. We are slowly building his trust.

SAM has been pretty confident from day one. He is often sat just the other side of the door when we go in.

They were so timid when we first brought them home. It’s lovely to watch their confidence grow. We can’t wait to share their journey with you.

If they could, they would announce themselves… well, the geese for sure!

Here is the feathered side of the Ta Mill family. We have 5 geese, 5 ganders and 2 goslings currently. One of our geese is a mum in waiting and is patiently sitting on her nest.

In our duck pond area, we have a Mallard, a Muscovy, a male Call duck (he’s the cute, little one) and 5 Runner ducks.

They all have their own personalities and like to spend the sunny afternoons lounging.

The first three in the montage are Winston, Gariana and their offspring, Lucky. They like to head on down to the stream fed pond for a splash around.

Say a warm hello to our Sheep family 🐑

We inherited 8 Ewes and Kikoo (he’s a Wether), when we arrived. And over the last three months we have been learning and growing the flock here at Ta Mill.

Our plan is to breed from our Ewes to help grow our flock further, so they can maintain our grass and provide us and our guests with home grown produce.

Some of our flock, like Kikoo, are super friendly and love to come and say hello. Usually in search of some food when they’re not full up on grass 😉

They are so full of character, as you will see.

Hi 👋🏻

We are Nikki and Stuart and along with two of our sons, and our two standard schnauzers, we are the lucky new owners here at Ta Mill. It’s a pleasure to meet you all.

We left the city of Southampton back in December to start a new life here in beautiful North Cornwall. What a change it has been. There is something very special about waking up here, in amongst fields of sheep and cattle, hearing nothing but the birds and the bees. We are in heaven.

Along with our sons, Liam and Callum, is our good friend Jack, who had joined us for the ride.

Our plans for the future… well, they are grande!

Right now we are building the farm up. Those of you who have been before may recognise some familiar faces but we have a few new ones to introduce to you. Stay tuned!

✨ UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP ✨

We’ve been a little quiet on here lately but that’s all about to change.

Over the next week you will get to meet us, the new owners of Ta Mill and the new members of the Ta Mill Farm Family.

We have lots of exciting new things in the pipeline for the holiday cottages, weddings and the farm. Stay tuned to keep up with all that will be happening.
