Enjoying the sunshine further afield yesterday in the East Riding of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire sourcing some lovely things that are a little bit different for our autumn and winter workshops ... and getting some inspo too.

It was great to spend some time catching up with a really lovely friend of mine too and for one day being ladies that lunch .... and eat really large pieces of cake afterwards too!

So excited to be at beautiful Wentworth Woodhouse this year for wreathmaking - this is an extra workshop that's now been added due to the earlier one selling out so be quick!.....We also have a table centrepiece workshop too which includes some different tablescaping ideas using sustainable, reusable mechanics which will look fabulous. Do join us if you can, it will be a really lovely seasonal treat.

Due to popular demand we’ve added an extra Wreath Making Workshop at 2pm, on Saturday 28th November in our stunning Camellia House.

Led by experienced florist Liz from Side Farm Flowers, this is a chance to slow down, get creative and make a beautiful wreath to take home and enjoy throughout the festive season. There’s no set design to copy and no need to be an experienced crafter. Liz will guide you through the different foliage, flowers and natural decorations available before demonstrating the basics and letting you create your own unique design.

We will be here on the 17th (this Saturday)with a pop up to decorate your pumpkins with dried flowers and foliage - choice of vertical or surface arrangements plus we will have some premade ones available too, dried and fresh flowers, the first of our Xmas gifts etc. The pumpkins have been homegrown in the gardens at The Workhouse and Infirmary so do come along if you can, it's a great place for a day out and will be fun to decorate your pumpkins with or without the kids and take away some really beautiful unique, natural autumnal decorations for your home...and you're supporting The National Trust too 😉

It’s not just about the flowers....

At Side Farm Flowers, it’s about creating a little haven for all the creatures that share our patch of earth too.

It’s about growing naturally, without pesticides, leaving space for wildlife, encouraging pollinators and sharing the abundance that nature gives us.

The flowers are just one part of it.

The bees, butterflies, birds, insects, soil, seeds and everything else that lives alongside us are just as important.

A few pics from our recent Pampered Pumpkins Workshop at the farm collaborating with the lovely Sarah from Tropic. We all had a lovely pamper with some gorgeous Tropic skin treats and got that carried away with trying all the products and chatting, we forgot to take some pics so you'll have to take it from me how good they felt - really lovely and my skin looked and felt soooo much better. Do get in touch with Sarah Ratcliffif you'd like to try any Tropic skincare.and makeup she is brilliant

I love a bit of old carpet for w**d control in the field but it looks like with this strip I am swapping one pest for another! they are cute though .... little field voles in holes 🙂
