Langport Community Choir

Langport Community Choir Amateur a cappella choir that sings in the heart of the Somerset levels. Monday Evenings (term time) 7pm to 9pm at Langport Arms Ballroom The rest is history.

Langport Community Choir was founded following a local 'Sing for Fun' course run by Somerset County Council. The original members of the choir raised the money to finance the project privately. We are a friendly group who sing for sheer enjoyment. Harmony songs from around the world are taught by ear so there is no need to read music and there are no auditions and nobody is expected to sing solo.

Our repertoire is building and we are now singing regularly at local events. Please post here, or message us, if you would like us to sing at your event, or if you would like to be a member of the choir or if you have any comments or suggestions. It's good to talk ... even better to sing!

What a fabulous evening of song we had this month to celebrate 20 years of Langport Community Choir - thank you to all who came to join us. We are so fortunate to have had Pete Linnett as as Musical Director throughout and thank you Pete for your inspiration, commitment and skills.
We are now on our summer break until Monday the 21st September 2026. We meet on Monday evenings at All Saints Hall, Langport and offer a free taster session.

On Monday 4th May at 11am, we'll be officially opening the 2026 Kingsbury May Festival!! Over the coming days you'll have a sneak peak at just some of the amazing plans we have in store for you.
