Placing tables at an angle is a great alternative layout in the marquee. Foliage up the central poles breaks up the white of the canvas and I always think small vases of flowers and terracotta pots on tables look stunning!

We had a visit from the Drayton wassailers this evening, old Christmas Eve. They are only one of three “Visiting Wassails” still operating in the country, so very special! Have the sound on to hear them sing!

A huge thank you to all those that came to watch the Pantaloons perform Hamlet on Friday! It was excellent and the tawny owl hooting in the woods made it very atmospheric! It was a little less anarchic than usual but it was Hamlet!! They’re back again next year with The History of Britain which promises to be pretty silly!
