Fancy a festive sing-a-long?🎄

The Emmott Arms looks forward to welcoming you for an informal evening singing Christmas carols with the Reverend John Knott and members of Christ Church. This will be held on Tuesday December 4th from 7.30 pm.

Marion Knowles would like to announce:
Remembrance Day Service
We have a new memorial stone with the names of the World War One fallen engraved and two There But Not There Tommies added to the memorial site. These have been sponsored by Laneshawbridge residents and local businesses. The school and craft group are also adding to the display. The service starts at 9 am on Sunday 11th of November and there will be a special 100 year commemorative service, followed by refreshments in the Emmott Arms. We will finish in time for anyone wanting to attend the parade in Colne to get away.

The New Laneshawbridge Events Committee held their ‘Royal Wedding’ raffle draw on Saturday 19th May at the Emmott Arms. Joy Rawstron, land lady of the Emmott Arms, Laneshawbridge, supervised the draw, whilst our local ‘celebrity’ Harry Lewis pulled out the winning tickets. We are pleased to announce the following winners:

1st place - Drew and Amanda
2nd place - Birtie
3rd place - Val Bennett

Please see Joy or Mark at the Emmott Arms to collect your hamper.

We would like to thank Michel Halstead for making the lovely hampers, the Emmott Arms for promoting the raffle and selling the tickets, all of you who have bought tickets and Joy and Harry for doing the draw.
All money made from this draw will go towards future events.

The New Laneshawbridge Events Committee have just held an Easter raffle. At 6pm on Easter Sunday at the Emmott Arms, the winning tickets for three lovely Easter eggs were drawn. These were picked by Harry Lewis and accompanied by Joy Rawston.
The winners were:
1st place - Ian Webster
2nd place - Alan Whittaker
3rd place - pink ticket no. 286
Congratulations to you all. We hope you enjoy your eggs!
All proceeds from the raffle will go towards equipment and future events for the village. We would like to thank you all for supporting this fund raising event.

The New Laneshawbridge Events Committee would like to thank everyone who purchased raffle tickets for the Christmas hamper. Many thanks also to Joy, Mark and the staff at the Emmott Arms who assisted in selling the tickets. The winner was announced at the pub quiz yesterday evening. Congratulations to DARREL COCKCROFT.

The New Laneshawbridge Events Committee are raffling a lovely Christmas hamper. There is a selection of Christmas treats including whisky, wine and Christmas pudding. Many thanks to the Emmott Arms for donating the bottle of whisky. The hamper is on show in the Emmott Arms and tickets can be purchased from behind the bar. £2 per strip of 5 tickets or £5 for 3 strips. The draw will be held on Thursday 21st December at the Emmott Arms quiz. Proceeds going to future Laneshawbridge Events.

This evening Reverend John Knott from Christ Church with some fellow parishioners, will be singing Christmas carols in the Emmott Arms. It will be commencing around 7.30pm. Why not come along and get in the festive spirit? The more the merrier, as they say!
