Alina will be joining John Acres on BBC Radio Devon’s Breakfast Show to talk about the growing challenges faced by vineyard owners across the South West and the wider UK.
From unpredictable weather and extreme conditions to the impact on flowering, fruit set and ultimately the harvest, the changing climate is presenting vineyards with some very real challenges. For growers, it can mean a difficult season, reduced yields and an uncertain future.
🎙️ Listen out for Alina on BBC Radio Devon’s Breakfast Show at about 8am, and then catch her later at lunchtime on the television on BBC Spotlight, where she’ll be discussing the realities of growing grapes and producing wine in the UK in increasingly unpredictable weather.
It’s an important conversation about the resilience of our vineyards, the challenges facing the UK wine industry, and what the future might look like for growers across the South West.
