Come to Chester this autumn for a day trip!

Did you know that Live History does events in Chester? On Monday 7th September (4pm-6pm), we will be gathering at the junction of Grosvenor Park Road and Union Street to undertake the Chester War Tour...for free! On Friday 6th November, we will be hosting Creepy Chester, an afternoon of dark, spooky local talks accompanied with historic snacks and beverages inside a sixteenth century townhouse (tickets can be purchased at Chester's Visitor information Centre). On Thursday 19th November, our annual Victorian flashmob will leave Chester High Cross on a leaflet run around 6pm before traditional carol singing ensues in anticipation of our Dickensian Grotto at the Grosvenor Museum on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November - ideal for SEN children. So if you're thinking that there's nothing fun to do in Chester this autumn, think again. For more details, explore www.livehistory.co.uk to experience the past!

Private tours means privacy for you and your friends and potentially a slightly longer tour, tailored to your interests with access to historical replicas and originals that'll make an experience to remember.

Explore Lancaster in the year 1803, hearing tales of Jacobites, hangings and the deadly triangular trade.

To book public tours tickets visit the Lancaster page at www.livehistory.co.uk or use the contact form on the website to book privately.

Should these two meet for a drink sometime?

Want to do something on a Friday but not sure what? In addition to our weekly tours that will be running this year up to Halloween, we also have Time Travel Tours with Robert Mason this summer at 4pm every Friday until September. Whistle stop tours of two thousand years of Chester's history in just sixty minutes, with interactive audience participation games and a slightly Tudor flavour. If you want something a bit more detailed about the early modern era in particular, his son Myles Mason does a ninety-minute Tudor & Stuart Tour of Chester at 2pm. If you want something much more adult, then might we recommend their descendant Time Travel Tom for a sixty-minute Filthy Chester Tour at 6pm. And the best part? You can still have your morning lie-in! Get tickets at the centre or visit www.livehistory.co.uk for more details. Experience the past with Live History!
