Wow… now that we’ve finally caught our breath, all we can say is ‘thank you’. Thank you to the thousands of you who attended Clydeside At Christmas over our three nights in Lanark 🤍
This was our first event of this scale and we are absolutely shattered, but completely overwhelmed by the love and support from the people of Lanark and beyond. It was truly something special.
To our amazing stallholders — this simply wouldn’t happen without you. You bring your beautiful, amazing, products, feedback, your passion, your craft and your heart, and we see it all. Our wee market community feels like family, and we appreciate every single one of you so much. Thank you also for the lovely gifts you gave us — you didn’t have to, but we’re so grateful. ❤️
Huge thanks to Fiona, Andrea, Jamie and the entire team at Lanark Agricultural Centre Events for always going above and beyond. From the restaurant team, to the cleaning team and yard boys…we appreciate you all so much, thanks for making it happen!
To Santa for bringing pure magic, Smith’s Family Funfairs (especially Trevor) for bringing the funfair and keeping everything ticking over, stevie.lennon.1 bringing the vibes with his eclectic music selection, Rock Choir • Choirs led by Jen Bonnar for wowing us on Wednesday night, Charlie McGmusic who stepped in last minute and was sensational….thank you all for being a huge part of our events.
Our incredible market team and elves — we couldn’t do it without you. You keep us sane (ish), bring the laughs, the carry on, and we couldn’t do all this without your support. Team work makes the dream work 💪🏽
And to our family, who look after our kids so we can do what we do — the hardest job of all 🤣
One moment that will stay with me forever: a wee boy coming out of Santa’s grotto saying, “I can’t believe I’ve met the real Santa… the ACTUAL real Santa!” His face was an absolute picture, sheer and utter happiness and belief. Sitting at the grotto with my back to the bustling market, the Christmas tunes playing, and everyone else oblivious, having just seen the wee boys reaction to meeting Santa, a tear of happiness rolled down my face, and I thought to myself, “It’s all been worth it.” 🥹❤️
We’ll be back in Lanark Sat 14th Feb for our normal monthly , then the following week on the 21st Feb for The Wedding Fayrest of Them All, our brand new wedding fayre 👰🤵💍💒
Until then, we’re switching off for some much-needed family time. 🧑🧑🧒🧒
Thank you, truly. ❤️
See you in 2026 for monthly markets, pop-ups and so much more. 👀
Happy Christmas 🎄
Love from Leeann, Emmett & the Makers & Merchants Markets / Clydeside At Christmas team ❤️
