We covered some pretty advanced concepts in Monday’s Home Educators Workshop.

We explored our economy, where money comes from, the debt system, the free market and if that wasn’t enough the children traded their way from having just 10 LEGO pieces to becoming entrepreneur extraordinaires with amazing models.

They all did an amazing job not only grasping how our economy works but suggesting how to make it better. At this rate we’ll have to invite the current government over for one of our sessions. You never know they might learn something 😂

We love conducting science experiments during our Home Educators Workshops.

We took some inspiration from our birthday parties and turned it into a physics test. It’s amazing what you can do with some LEGO and a plank of wood.

We’ve explored many different aspects to create a perfect race car. We’ve analysed length, width, weight and aerodynamics.

We had plenty of fun along the way too! There’s still spaces available for our November/December course so sign up today and let your little ones learn through play.

It’s definitely one of our favourite activities that we do as part of our education workshops. Whether it be in school or at The Brick Box there’s always massive smiles afterwards.

Loki is in trouble!

After attempting to build some LEGO for the first time in a long time at home he was far too interested and excited so it’s time out for him until he calms down!

We’re half way through our Home Educators Course for this term and we’ve been having lots of learning fun.

This week we’re learning how to set up a scientific experiment.

They’ll be creating a hypothesis, method statement, control, results table and conclusion.

We’ll be discussing how science is conducted in the real world and of course it wouldn’t be a Brick Box session without some critical thinking chatting about conflicts of interests and other elements that may effect science and research.

We were impressed with Mondays results despite once again breaking the laws of physics now we can’t wait until Friday.
