And this not so little boy is the reason for my earlier than expected closure. Thankfully despite all my complications he seems to be doing splendidly.
His head is measuring a whopping 12 days ahead (my pelvis knows this) and his abdomen measures 8 days ahead. Thankful for a great sonographer and technology for this fab 4d scan 😃

*Closure* - Maternity leave!
I hadn’t wanted to post this so soon, but unfortunately my hand was forced on this one. I am now on maternity leave with an expected return to pop up events from March 2026. However, all being well I will also be back to do the ever popular Valentine’s ranges for pre-order, but no Christmas yummies this year boooo.

Unfortunately I have been extremely ill through pregnancy, life threateningly ill for the past 5 weeks, which in turn means i’ve lost lots of money from events, i’m also missing out on the busiest time of year (Christmas events). But I am now on strict house rest, predominantly bed rest/work from sofa only with high risk of baby arriving earlier than my original due date of 16th December.
This year should have been a year of growth for the business but instead had to take a step back, but next year I plan to be back with a bang! I have already booked a regular monthly spot at Humber Bridge Farmers Market for next Spring/Summer and will be using my sofa time to book as many other events as I can. In the meantime, if you would like to be contacted when I launch Valentine’s, Mother’s Day, Easter etc then do drop me a message. I am also taking cake, cupcake and brownie/cookie tray orders for anyone super organised get in my books for March 2026 onwards.

Last bakes most likely
of 2025 as i’ve been put on bedrest due to terrible pregnancy booo! £3.50 each or 4 for £12 collection between 4-6pm today WF11 0HU no deliveries due to me not been able to drive around DRs orders. Payment via bank transfer. First paid first secured, no reservations without payment.

Of course when your son turns one you must make a cake!
Except the two days I needed to make it, it was 31c outside probably an extra few degrees in my kitchen.
Nearing 6 months pregnant, two hospital trips and the heat meant my plans for the cake went out the window!
But still rustled up something for photos.

Saturday’s market cancelled, not by me might I add seen as I got grief for pulling out of last market 🤣
Sometimes it has to be done from either side to be sensible.
This means I only have one August market and three September markets before maternity leave. I may take on Halloween orders depending how pregnancy is at that point but no guarantees!
Going to enjoy my last week with the family next week before starting full-time day job again too so if you want your yummies end of August to end of September is your last guaranteed chance for the year.

Hello from the beansprout who is baking away nicely, measuring bigger than his brother did at this point so looks like we’re in for trouble again 🤣
20 week scan today and a reminder you’ve three more months of me before I take a few months off for Maternity from October to likely early February.
I withdrew from some August events due to now having a day job commencing and lack of childcare on a weekend, but this does mean I have availability for some cakes/cupcakes next week and the last weekend, for collection only from WF11. Do pop me a message if you need any last minute yummies for celebrations.
All else fails you’ll have to try catch me at a market in August or September as I do still have a few planned before my departure 😃

Well folks i’m going to be one tired baker today!
I stayed up waaaay past my bedtime to watch against Sweden in last night not getting to sleep until midnight and then my wife’s up for work at 4.30 yikes. Need matchsticks today.
Today’s plan is to get Sunday’s show bakes prepped then tomorrow they’ll be decorated.
I know I said no tray-bakes yesterday too but think I might rustle up a maltesers millionaire for this weeks’ newbie.
