Hello, i’m back and this is the face of a very tired lady who has just returned from five days in Cornwall that were meant to be a lovely recharge before the mad summer baking season and maternity leave!
However, instead I spent half a day whilst away back and forth with someone who just wanted to waste my time saying they were happy to place a set cake style order at the price I advertise, only to then decide they want a cake double the size for same cost.
I’ve also logged into my business emails and messages and checked invoices sent for July orders in my banking now i’m back in a land with actual signal to discover two none payments.
I will not be chasing payments, if invoices aren’t settled by the date stated the order is cancelled/date not held deadlines are there for a reason to allow me time to order ingredients in and to ensure I don’t turn other orders away if customers decide not to pay or want the order anymore.
Going forward for the rest of this year I am not taking any further personalised cake orders, as i’m having a complicated pregnancy and do not have the capacity to be wasting time on admin around my many medical appointments and caring for my currently ten month old and his additional medical needs.
I will be honouring markets I have booked in with the full list to be published at the weekend, but won’t be booking anymore new dates in for those either.
I may open up cupcake slots if my health permits in Autumn.
