🎉 Opening Ceremony Details 🎉

SkiffieWorlds 2025 officially kicks off on Sunday 6th July at 3.30pm with a mass row-in to shore by all the participating skiffs.

The sight of so many brightly coloured skiffs approaching the shore together, representing their clubs and countries with international flags flying, will be spectacular and was a real highlight of SkiffieWorlds 2019.

Onshore in Agnew Park there will be a fantastic selection of street food and outside catering.

Activities in the Entertainment Marquee will start at 4.50pm with a performance by the McHarg School of Highland Dance from Manitoba, Canada. Teacher Shona McHarg originally hails from Stranraer and her dancers are taking part in competitions, exams and lessons around Scotland the week prior to SkiffieWorlds.

They’ll be followed by an evening of music courtesy of local musicians - Dave Against the Machine, Way Out West and Astoria.

YARD OPERATIVES
If you enjoy working outdoors in a fast paced environment and are hard-working and enthusiastic contact us. You must be flexible, as the role will involve some early starts and some late finishes along with weekend work.
It would be beneficial if you enjoy physical work and tackling challenging jobs, as the role can be physically demanding. We look forward to hearing from you.
As a YARD OPERATIVE you will be responsible for the preparation of toilets and other equipment for hire, cleaning and repairing the toilet units, loading and unloading the vehicles and keeping the yard in a tidy and organised condition. Washing and valeting of vehicles will also be required. Please drop us an email.
