On Monday , I had the honour and challenge of leading a service for a dear friend of ours. As a celebrant, it’s never easy to say goodbye, but today was a true celebration of a life well lived. We came together to share stories, laughter, and tears, reflecting on the impact this wonderful person had on all of us. It was a beautiful reminder of the love, joy, and memories we hold close. I’m grateful to have been part of such a meaningful moment, honouring our friend’s legacy in the best way possible. Rest in peace, you’ll be missed but never forgotten Al.

It’s 5 years since my mum passed - I honestly don’t know where that time has gone. There are very special words by that really ring true about grief. On Those Days - Donna Ashworth On those days,
when you miss someone the most,

as though your memories,
are sharp enough,
to slice through skin and bone,

remember how they loved you.

Remember how they loved you,
and do that,
for yourself.

In their name,
in their honour.

Love yourself,
as they loved you.

They would like that.

On those days when you miss someone the most,
love yourself harder. Grief is different for everyone, don’t compare yourself, don’t be surprised when it catches you unaware. Allow yourself to remember, and smile because they lived. Look after yourself.
