After spending almost a decade as a holiday rep in the Algarve, it’s safe to say that Donna, from our Huddersfield store, knows this Portuguese favourite pretty well 🇵🇹️
Donna first headed to the Algarve in 1996, and what started as a job soon turned into a lifelong love for the destination.
Since returning to the UK, Donna has visited more than 30 times – from relaxing on the quieter shores of Praia da Coelha to sampling the local food in Guia.
“Guia is known as the home of Chicken Piri Piri, and for good reason. There’s plenty of authentic, local restaurants - they’re often busy and a bit no-frills in places, but the food feels properly local” 😋
And when it comes to where to stay, Donna has a favourite too: “The Tivoli Marina in Vilamoura is probably the best I’ve stayed in. It’s got that ideal location between the marina and the beach. I spent a lot of time in Vilamoura during my rep days, so I love going back now and having dinner and drinks around the marina”️
Today, Donna gets to use her first-hand experience to help customers plan their own holidays to a destination she still loves ✈️
