The Club House Community in Garden Village

A Thriving Centre at the Heart of Historic Garden Village.

The Club House Community Centre is a cherished part of the historic Garden Village, a neighbourhood renowned for its character and sense of belonging. At the heart of this community lies a purpose-built community centre, offering residents a unique advantage often longed for by other neighbourhoods. Indeed, many communities across the country are crying out for dedicated communal spaces, making us exceptionally fortunate to have such a facility already in place.

A Ready-Built Community Centre

Unlike many areas where the absence of a communal hub is keenly felt, Garden Village boasts a well-established club house that serves as the focal point for its residents and neighbourhoods beyond. This centre provides a warm and welcoming environment for a wide range of activities, gatherings, and events, fostering a true sense of togetherness.

Benefits to Users

Space for social events, classes, and meetings

Opportunities to build lasting friendships and connections

Support for local initiatives and community-led projects

A safe place for all ages to enjoy and participate

A wonderful Cafe where people can meet for a coffee and a chat or a more substantial meal

A space where you can regularly meet with local councilors and the local policing teams

The list is endless!!

Why We’re So Lucky

The presence of a ready-built community centre is a rare privilege. It not only strengthens the social fabric of Garden Village, but also provides a foundation for the continued growth and vitality of the area. With this wonderful resource at our disposal, the Club House Community stands out as a model of what a true neighbourhood can be.

Keeping the Heart Beating: How You Can Get Involved

A community centre like ours thrives thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of its residents. It takes a team of passionate people to run the services we provide and to perform the tasks required for the upkeep of such an important building. From administration and bookings to organising events and maintaining the premises, every contribution is valued.

Do you have a knack for organisation, a flair for creativity, or perhaps skills in gardening, maintenance, or event planning? Maybe you’re an enthusiastic communicator, great with numbers, or simply enjoy helping out and meeting new people. Whatever your talents, there’s a place for you in the Club House Community Centre

Volunteer for Events and regular groups: Help set up, run, or tidy away after one of our many gatherings.

Share Your Skills: Offer to lead a workshop, class, or club – whether it’s yoga, craft, IT skills, or music.

Support with Admin: Assist with bookings, general administration, or publicity to keep things running smoothly.

Building Upkeep: Lend a hand with cleaning, maintenance, or gardening to keep our centre welcoming and safe.

Do you have something to offer we haven’t thought of? We are a very small team of volunteers passionate about keeping this club as a hub for the community, we are not professionals, although we have years of experience of running the club we know we might not have it all right! Do you think there are gaps in what we provide that you could fill? Please share your thoughts and ideas with us!

The Garden Village Club House Community Centre exemplifies the best of British communal living, offering a vibrant and supportive environment for all. As residents, we are indeed lucky to call this remarkable place home. If you have skills or time you’d like to share, please get in touch with the centre – together, we can ensure the Club House remains the beating heart of Garden Village for generations to come.
