New gig! Here's another one for you Leeds! Expect to see more of Twisted Ni**le Events from now on! This time time we bring you Belgium post punk quarter, Stonks.
We loved them when they played Adelphi in Hull, so we booked em!

They blend post-punk, noise rock, jazz, and shoegaze into a chaotic and groove-heavy style. Stonks creates a highly unique sound that balances nervous energy, heavy distortion, and danceable grooves. Instead of sticking to standard rock formulas, the four-piece band layers different musical genres to create an atmosphere that feels both urgent and deeply planned.

MARINA JOSEPHINA has been penned as BBC North East’s ‘one to watch and is recognised for her storytelling and fusion of jazz, soul and funk which all compliment her Amy Winehouse style vocals

PROVENANCE .bnd are also one to watch and for a band so young, have already supported some big names, including Ocean Colour Scene, The Coral and The K’s - Blending atmospheric guitars, retro synths and catchy choruses into their indie sound. Hailing from both Manchester and Teesside collectively.

SLEUTH GANG - Sleuth Gang a top twisted ni**le favourite!!!! Carrying an insane amount of energy on stage , this high octane Leeds / York 7 piece wouldn’t be out of place on Glastonbury main stage, as they fuse hip hop, rock, punk, dance, screaming vocals and loud thrashing breakdowns into every track. Always one to get the crowd jumping. They are known to BBC introducing and Jericho Keys described them as being “fantastically feral”

With over 2000 shows and 5 albums under their belt, their anthemic back catalogue, incendiary live show, DIY ethic, and passion for their fans, has seen them propelled past their peers to become a name synonymous with the fire, positivity, progress, and power of UK punk and ska.

Emerging in 2023, Y have been cutting there teeth on the underground scene, and have carved themselves a reputation as one of the UKs most fearless new bands. A run of support slots with Fat Dog, Opus Kink, Warmduscher & KEG, and festival appearances throughout 2025 has cemented Y as not just a band to watch, but a band impossible to ignore.

With a lineup that thrives on contradiction, Y’s kaleidoscopic energy comes from each member’s wildly different backgrounds: Sophie (vocals, keys) delivers cheeky, off-kilter hooks with instinctual flair; Adam Brennan (vocals, guitar) draws on Japanese jazz fusion and unusual scales for his jagged harmonies; Dan GB (bass) fuses hardcore punk precision with Italo disco grooves; Brazilian percussionist Fells expands the band’s rhythmic possibilities; and Harry McHale transforms the saxophone into a searing lead instrument. Together, they create music that is chaotic yet razor-sharp – an audio party that feels impossible to pin down.

Hi all. We are sorry to inform you that the following gig is cancelled. (Cancelled) Erotic Secrets Of Pompeii + Jodie Langford + The Velvet Tuxedo

This is due to the very recent and unfortunate passing of Adelphi's owner and grassroots music scene legend, Paul Jackson. It is his familys wish that the wake is to be hosted at the venue on this specific day. Naturally we have to respect and honour that. We send all our love and condolences out to his family, nearest and dearest. We hope to help carry his legacy and celebrate his life.

We hope you can all understand these unforseen and unpredictable circumstances.
Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconveniences caused.
We have tried our best to reschedule the gig but logistically that's not possible yet. We do hope bring the band back in the not too distant future as we were very excited for this, let's keep faith that the stars will align and that we can bring you this lineup in the future. We wish the band all the best on their tour. In fact, go see any of these 3 bands when you can, they are all fabulous.

However, alternatively we can offer you a ticket transfer to a exceptionally good gig with French post punk band, Naked Soft Men (France) + Sickcino + more tba at the venue on May the 6th. For fans of Vi**ra Boys, Warmduscher and Heavy Lungs.

However if you would like a refund we do also understand.

Erotic Secrets of Pompeii play wild, weird apocalyptic lounge music - a twisted amalgamation of angular art rock and transgressive post-punk, transmitted directly from the heart of the forbidden zone.

ESOP's music is populated by grotesque imagery and vivid symbolism, drawing from artists across different mediums, such as Terry Gilliam, Salvador Dali, Leonora Carrington, Francis Bacon, William Blake, Robert Anton Wilson and Leigh Bowery.

The band released their debut album, Mondo Maleficum, to wide acclaim in January 2024, followed by their latest album Pitchfork Libra in October 2025 which they are currently touring across the UK and Europe.

ESOP's music has received airplay from BBC Radio 6, Radio X & BBC Introducing, and the band have played major festivals such as Boomtown, The Great Escape, Shambala & Bearded Theory, along with supporting Heavy Lungs & Electric Six.
