Some celebrations stay with us long after the last table is cleared.

Returning to this beautiful celebration at Pestana Palace, and to a story I still hold very close.

Set within one of Lisbon’s most remarkable palaces, the design was guided by what was already there — its architecture, gardens, light and history.

Soft florals, delicate blues, touches of gold and silver, and layers of considered details came together in a celebration that felt romantic, refined and deeply personal.

Nothing needed to compete with the setting.
Everything simply needed to belong.

Looking back, this is still one of those celebrations that reminds me why the details matter — not individually, but in the way they come together to create a feeling.

There is beauty in the moments between destinations.

Places that inspire. Flowers that make me pause. Windows worth looking through. Shared meals. Quiet corners. Meaningful work. And time to simply breathe.

Not every chapter needs a destination. Some are simply about moving through the days with intention, working, discovering new places, resting, creating, and remembering to enjoy the journey along the way.

Balance isn’t about separating life from work. It’s about being fully present in both.

Sometimes, that’s enough. 🤍

Living a balanced life is something I truly value.

É nos momentos entre um destino e outro que, muitas vezes, encontramos a verdadeira beleza.

Lugares que inspiram. Flores que me fazem parar por um instante. Janelas que valem a pena contemplar. Refeições partilhadas. Cantos tranquilos. Um trabalho com propósito. E tempo para simplesmente respirar.

Nem todos os capítulos precisam de um destino. Alguns existem apenas para atravessar os dias com intenção, trabalhando, descobrindo novos lugares, descansando, criando e lembrando-nos de apreciar a jornada ao longo do caminho.

O equilíbrio não está em separar a vida do trabalho. Está em estar verdadeiramente presente em ambos.

Às vezes, isso basta.

The most meaningful work is rarely the most visible.

It begins with the questions asked before the first sketch.

With the restraint to leave space untouched.

With listening carefully enough to understand what a celebration is meant to become.

Flowers are one expression of that process.

Design is another.

But neither is the destination.

What remains is how people felt.

That is the work.

It has always been the work.

O trabalho mais significativo raramente é o mais visível.

Ele começa nas perguntas feitas antes do primeiro esboço.

Na contenção de deixar espaços por preencher.

Em escutar com atenção suficiente para compreender aquilo que uma celebração está destinada a tornar-se.

As flores são uma expressão desse processo.

Elegance is rarely about adding more.

It’s about choosing with intention.

Every detail of this celebration was intentionally designed to reflect C&A’s love story and honour the character of the monastery, allowing architecture, olive branches, antique candleholders and soft light to shape an atmosphere that felt timeless.

The candlelight wasn’t there to make a statement.

It was there to deepen the feeling of the place.

Because true refinement isn’t about excess.

It’s about creating an atmosphere where every element feels as though it has always belonged.

Cada detalhe desta celebração foi cuidadosamente pensado para refletir a história de amor de C&A, e honrar o caráter do mosteiro, permitindo que a arquitetura, os ramos de oliveira, os candelabros antigos e a luz suave das velas moldassem uma atmosfera intemporal.

A luz das velas não estava ali para chamar a atenção.

Estava ali para aprofundar a essência do lugar.

Porque o verdadeiro requinte não se mede pela quantidade do que se vê.

Mede-se pela naturalidade com que tudo parece pertencer àquele lugar.
