Home for L&H is Australia, so their ceremony felt especially meaningful as it was a rare opportunity to bring all of their favourite people together from across the world.

They wanted to include a moment in the ceremony that reminded everyone that, no matter the distance, they are always loved and thought of. So they invited each guest to make a paper plane. A simple but beautiful symbol of connection.

As the couple made their way back down the aisle, the planes were released, creating such a fun, heartfelt and unforgettable moment.

It’s moments like these that make celebrant-led ceremonies so special: completely personal, deeply meaningful and a true reflection of the couple, their love story and what matters most to them.

This wedding season I have the pleasure of visiting some incredible wedding venues for my ceremonies, some familiar favourites, others completely new.

One of my favourite parts of the planning process is hearing why each couple chose their venue. Every place has a story, a feeling or a special connection and weaving that into the ceremony helps set the scene for such a meaningful moment.

Last week, I had the absolute pleasure of leading H+L’s celebration of love at the gorgeous 💒

Their colour palette was blue so I was overjoyed when they chose this dress for the day 💙🩵

I always send my couples a selection of outfit options ahead of their wedding day because it’s so important to me that every detail works beautifully together and complements the overall vision for their celebration.

This dress is extra special to me because I originally wore it as Maid of Honour for my best friend’s wedding. Every time I wear it, it brings back memories of such a joyful day filled with so much love.

I absolutely adore a handfasting ritual ✨ I get so excited when my couples choose to include it in their ceremony, so I was over the moon when the wonderful and said, “Yes, let’s use it!” during our content shoot at a few weeks ago.

Handfasting is such a beautiful, symbolic way to represent unity.

And I just love how captured the moment.
