We often get asked what’s involved with being a marquee rigger, of course the simplest answer is that it’s all about putting up and taking down marquees. But we like to think there is a bit more to joining our team…

We want great people to work for us, and each year we need to employ additional riggers to see us through the busy summer months. You’ll receive on the job training under supervision of one of our foremen. We meet at the yard at 7am, to travel to site and generally finish a build in one day, returning to the yard late afternoon/evening to load up for the next day.

The job is physical and during the busy months of the year the working days can be long, but so is the opportunity to earn a good income. You’ll spend everyday outdoors in some of the most beautiful locations in Devon & Cornwall and be part of a team, which works hard, does a great job and has a lot of laughs too – it’s extremely satisfying and good fun.

So, if you have
• A strong work ethic
• An ability to work in a team
• A good sense of humour
• A “can do” attitude and enjoy physical work

This popular Cornwall beach wedding site is owned by Porthilly Farm, an organic dairy and oyster farm near Rock. The large field site is raised above the beach and has superb uninterrupted views across the Camel estuary to Padstow and Rock Sailing Club. With St Michael’s Church just yards from Porthilly Farm beach wedding venue, your guests won’t have to travel too far to toast the bride and groom!
