Our Story
In the heart of the beautiful Norfolk countryside is located the stunning medieval Pentney Abbey. Steeped in centuries of history, now newly renovated and privately owned, it is the most exclusive and idyllic venue for weddings, functions, film shoots and events.
With the picture perfect exterior, 35 acres of private grounds, licensed wedding venue, Marquee location, Medieval Banqueting Hall, Bridal suite and 2 additional cottages – all luxuriously appointed – this Norfolk venue brings together a deep sense of history and occasion with the very best in contemporary styling.
We are able to host many types of events at Pentney Abbey. Being surrounded by miles of unspoilt countryside and sitting on the edge of the Nar Valley, the estate is linked to the Nar Valley Way, one of Norfolk's major walking routes giving unrivalled opportunities for nature lovers to walk, ride, cycle or fish in our river, or just get away from it all.
Included in the 35 acre site are two high specification self catering holiday cottages, luxury en-suite annex, a large medieval barn, plus a meeting/conference room for corporate events. We even have the facility for helicopter landings.

We are also a Caravan Club Certified Location, which is set in an secluded, private area within the grounds of the Pentney Abbey estate
Following a 3 year restoration project, in conjunction with English Heritage, the gatehouse has now been returned to use after 300 years.
