The Fenwick Hotel is looking for reliable and hardworking Housekeeping Assistants to join our team. We have both part-time and full-time vacancies available, offering 20–30 hours per week on a variable schedule.

Key Responsibilities

* Clean and service guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and public areas to a high standard.
* Change bed linen and replenish guest amenities.
* Vacuum, dust, polish, and maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel.
* Report any maintenance issues or damaged items.
* Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are followed at all times.
* Work efficiently to meet daily room and cleaning targets.
* Provide friendly and professional service to guests when required.

Requirements

* Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
* Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good time management and organisational skills.
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

Hours

* Part-time and full-time positions available.
* Variable hours between 20 and 30 hours per week.
* Weekend availability is required.

The Fenwick Hotel is proud to announce the appointment of Darren Brown as its new Head Chef, marking an exciting new chapter in the hotel’s continued growth and development.

The appointment follows an important milestone for the hotel, as 28th March 2026 marked one year since the arrival of the hotel’s current management team. Over the past year, Robin Bawa and Jaspreet have focused on reinvestment, refinement, and enhancing standards across the property.

Robin and Jaspreet are delighted to share this announcement as part of their long-term vision to further strengthen The Fenwick Hotel’s reputation for quality hospitality and dining.

With a career spanning some of Ayrshire’s most respected kitchens, Darren Brown brings a wealth of experience from award-recognised restaurants, luxury boutique hotels, and fast-paced culinary environments.

Throughout his career, Darren has:

* Held senior roles within award-winning kitchens
* Helped develop modern seasonal menus
* Worked closely with local suppliers and quality produce
* Built strong and motivated kitchen teams
* Mentored and supported developing chefs

His approach to cooking combines strong classical foundations with modern influences, focusing on quality ingredients, balanced flavours, and a memorable dining experience.

This appointment reflects The Fenwick Hotel’s continued ambition to strengthen its food offering and build on its growing reputation within the hospitality sector.

Robin Bawa commented:
