It’s honestly crazy to think that a photograph I took of a council worker in Tenby has now passed 100,000 views! 🤯📸

I never expected one photo to get this much attention, but what has blown my mind even more is just how much everyone loved the photo — and especially Andrew, aka “SWAMPY”.

Going through the comments and reading all the stories from people who know Andrew, hearing how well known, respected and loved he is in Tenby, has been absolutely amazing.

I went to Tenby simply to take some photographs. I was just out with my camera, looking for interesting moments and people to capture.

But I left Tenby knowing that I had photographed someone who clearly means a lot to the community. And honestly, that makes the photograph so much more special to me. ❤️

This is exactly why I love photography.

You never really know what story is sitting behind the person you're photographing. Sometimes you take a picture thinking it’s just another photograph… and then the people who see it tell you a story you never knew existed.

I wish I could get stories like this everywhere I go with my camera. Most of the time, I take the photograph, post it on social media and move on.

But this time was different.

This one photograph introduced me to Andrew “SWAMPY” and showed me just how much one person can mean to a community.

So thank you to everyone who shared the photo, commented, told their stories and helped it reach over 100K views.

And most importantly…

Thank you, Swampy, for letting me capture you. 📸❤️
Maybe this is a reminder that sometimes the best photographs aren't the ones of famous people, beautiful landscapes or big events…

Sometimes they're simply photographs of ordinary people who are anything but ordinary. ❤️

My first proper outing since getting out of hospital took me to Tenby with the camera! 📸

Normally I tend to stay fairly local to where I live, but this weekend I decided it was time for a little photography adventure — so me and Owen Rees and the camera headed to Tenby.

While walking around, I spotted a council worker picking up rubbish. Later on, I noticed him emptying some bins, and I thought… you know what, I’m going to take my chance and grab a few photos!

I honestly thought he was going to turn around and say, “What are you doing? Why are you taking photos of me?” — in the most manly voice imaginable!

But after actually speaking to him, I couldn't have been more wrong. He was incredibly well spoken and had the softest voice!

These are the little moments that make me love street photography. You never quite know who you're going to meet or what story is going to come from simply walking around with a camera.

So everyone, meet Swampy — a council worker from Tenby! 😂📸

Thanks for letting me grab a few shots, mate! 👊

And here's to many more photography adventures

What an amazing Space Safari Show at Ffos Las Racecourse last night 🦁✨

I couldn’t get tickets, so I watched it from outside — and honestly, how amazing was it seeing the whole thing from a distance?!

I actually think I enjoyed it even more from where I was, with the whole sky lighting up in front of me. And of course, I managed to get a few photos too! 📸

10/10 for the show! 🔥👏

🌊 Okay… this has completely baffled me.

Was this connected to the recent tsunami activity, or is there something else going on?

One minute the water looked relatively normal… then suddenly this strange little wave appeared almost out of nowhere. 😳

🤯 I finally got to test out my new Meta glasses yesterday… and what a way to break them in! 😍✈️

Here’s the FULL video of the German Air Force A400M making its incredible beach landings yesterday! Watching an aircraft this size land on the sand never gets old, and being able to capture it hands-free made the experience even better! 🎥🔥

Would you have stood this close to watch it? 👀👇 Let me know in the comments!

🇩🇪✈️ The Germans are on their way to the beach!

I’d say they’re around 40 minutes out, so not long to go now. Fingers crossed they can still put on a good show, although the weather might limit what they’re able to do. 🌧️🌊

If you’re heading down, wrap up, stay safe, and hopefully we’ll get to see some great flying! 📸✈️

After a month in hospital and losing the strength in my legs, I never thought I'd be back down the beach so soon. It was a real struggle, but I made it.

To think that just four weeks ago I was in an induced coma, fighting for my life, and today I was back behind the camera capturing the German Air Force carrying out their beach landings. I'm nowhere near 100% yet, but simply being back out doing what I love felt incredible.

A massive thank you to Thomas Winstone Photography for getting me down to the beach today. I honestly couldn't have done it without you.

Moments like today remind me not to take anything for granted. Here's to slowly getting stronger and making many more memories with the camera. ❤️📸

Made it down to the beach! 🙌✈️ There was no way I was missing the German A400M landing on the beach today. What an incredible day out with some awesome aviation action. Absolutely shattered now, but it was 100% worth every minute! 🇩🇪✈️🌊📸
