It’s honestly crazy to think that a photograph I took of a council worker in Tenby has now passed 100,000 views! 🤯📸
I never expected one photo to get this much attention, but what has blown my mind even more is just how much everyone loved the photo — and especially Andrew, aka “SWAMPY”.
Going through the comments and reading all the stories from people who know Andrew, hearing how well known, respected and loved he is in Tenby, has been absolutely amazing.
I went to Tenby simply to take some photographs. I was just out with my camera, looking for interesting moments and people to capture.
But I left Tenby knowing that I had photographed someone who clearly means a lot to the community. And honestly, that makes the photograph so much more special to me. ❤️
This is exactly why I love photography.
You never really know what story is sitting behind the person you're photographing. Sometimes you take a picture thinking it’s just another photograph… and then the people who see it tell you a story you never knew existed.
I wish I could get stories like this everywhere I go with my camera. Most of the time, I take the photograph, post it on social media and move on.
But this time was different.
This one photograph introduced me to Andrew “SWAMPY” and showed me just how much one person can mean to a community.
So thank you to everyone who shared the photo, commented, told their stories and helped it reach over 100K views.
And most importantly…
Thank you, Swampy, for letting me capture you. 📸❤️
Maybe this is a reminder that sometimes the best photographs aren't the ones of famous people, beautiful landscapes or big events…
Sometimes they're simply photographs of ordinary people who are anything but ordinary. ❤️
