I have done weddings in some beautiful locations ✨

Anna & Matt's marquee wedding last year was held at the family home on the stunning Sussex coast - as someone who's never lived anywhere near the beach, it was genuinely exciting to be able to walk around during the reception and look right out to sea 🌊

There were actually so many little places to explore. It's not every day you see guests enjoying a game of tennis, lounging by the swimming pool, or weaving through all the lovely gardens mid-wedding.

I've also been lucky enough to work at weddings in the gorgeous Herefordshire countryside, amazing stately homes in Cheshire, museums in Bath, the woodlands of Wales and countless beautiful homes around the Midlands.

This year I've stayed pretty to home, as that's just how things have worked out this time round. But I am SO lucky to be able to travel round the country doing what I love, meeting beautiful people and seeing such amazing places 💕

Anyone want to send me somewhere new?! I'm booking for 2026 now ✌️

BEFORE YOU COME AT ME... ✨

I have nothing against people choosing to do any of these things!

This is just your friendly reminder that you don't have to follow along with what everyone else is doing if it doesn't feel right for you 💕

A few examples...

🩷 Bridesmaid proposals
It's nice to make a fuss of the people you care about, and it's a special moment when you ask them to play a part in your wedding.

But if you can't afford expensive gifts, or if a big show of emotion isn't really your style, that's okay too! A message in a card, a dinner date, or making a small gesture have the same impact and can be more meaningful.

🩷 Matching pyjamas & robes
Prep time in the morning is a vibe. If you want to feel a little boujee and take some nice pics all together, go for it!

But please don't make the whole morning another photoshoot. Focus on your prep, get some tunes on, have something to eat and drink, and enjoy each other's company. Anything else is icing on the cake.

🩷 Hen do outfits
It's pretty common to see brides-to-be off on glorious hen-dos abroad wearing outfits that have been tailored especially for this purpose. Casual, evening, swimwear, airport, loungewear... Everything in white and end everything with 'wifey' or 'bride' emboldened on it.

If this gives you the ick, or if you're worried about costs stacking up, remember it's a choice not a necessity!

🩷 Owning a cricut machine...
Remember this is NOT compulsory!
Fine for creative people who enjoy making their own wedding decor and stationery, but it's not for everyone. You're not expected to become an artist or designer overnight.

🩷 Second wedding dress/outfit
I do love a costume change, don't get me wrong! But it is absolutely optional. Get your money's worth out of the outfit you have bought and don't worry about leaving your party if you're happy doing what you're doing. If money is tight, save your pennies!

You don't always need full wedding planning, I get it! ✨

You might be having the best time planning your own wedding - choosing your suppliers, DIYing your decor, getting super creative.

You may not have the budget for a wedding planner either - sometimes it is savvy to save!

But would it help to spend an hour or two meeting with one?
To check over the plans you have made with someone who knows what they are talking about. To get some reassurance that you're doing the right things. To create a plan of what your next moves need to be?

A super informal meetup with coffee, cake, brunch... all the essentials! ☕🧁🥞

It is so wonderful to get such great feedback for my couples!

Sydnee & Graham were an absolute dream. Their wedding at was so unique - the setting, the decor, the whole feel of the day was like no other wedding I have done before or since.

How the hell do you plan a wedding?! 😂
It's a lot, right?!

That's why I've made some resources that might make life a little easier 🙌

The WHO, WHAT, WHEN is a quick guide to planning your wedding from the moment you get engaged until your head hits the pillow the night before you say I Do.

💕 WHAT do you need to be doing?
A list of tasks, from booking your venue and caterers down to dress fittings, writing speeches and wearing in your shoes!

💕 WHO is doing each task?
Keep organising by allocating jobs between yourselves, bridal party or your wedding planner (hint hint!)

💕 WHEN are you getting these things ticked off?!
Our plan is organised chronologically, counting down the months to the big day.

FOUR YEARS OF WWP ✨💕

This was one of the very first weddings I co-ordinated after I became self-employed, and it set the bar SO high!

I had been with Caroline & Myles the day before going through the plans, helping them put out all of their homemade decor and prepping inside the tipis. They were so relaxed and excited for their day, and although so much time has passed it is still up there as one of the highlights of my career.

Their woodland ceremony felt so magical, and I remember watching the two of them during the reception sitting with their guests, drinking, talking and laughing with everyone. Present. Immersed in everything. It taught me so much about what weddings CAN be, and how they SHOULD be 👏

I can't believe I've had more than 60 incredible weddings since then!
Who would have thought when I took a punt during a global pandemic that this is where it would take me?!

Best decision I ever made 💕

Happy birthday to me! ✨💕🎉

My weekend got off to a perfect start. I've been doing what I Iove most - at a wedding, surrounded by beautiful things and beautiful people.

Today will be mostly about family, food and most likely a handful of retro TV gameshows. Perfection 👌🏼
