🔥 CONFIRMED 🔥 We're excited to announce She Shanties are playing our Acoustic Stage on Saturday 20th June at Beardy Folk Festival 2026 ♥️

She Shanties are a captivating folk harmony group who got together in Whitby back in 2011 for a session but soon realised they had something a bit special. They have sinced performed at festivals across the UK and Europe.

Hailing from the North of England, this talented ensemble weaves together hauntingly beautiful shanties and folk melodies, celebrating the age-old tales of sailors, fishermen and adventurers.

In 2015, they released their EP, Spanker Boom, followed in 2018 with their first full length album, Futtock Shrouds.

🔥 CONFIRMED 🔥 We're excited to announce Anna Renae is playing our Acoustic Stage on Friday 19th June at Beardy Folk Festival 2026 ♥️

Anna Renae is a pop/folk singer-songwriter, weaving musical stories inspired by life’s complexities. Having roots in Lancashire and Northumberland, Anna graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2017 with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Popular Music.

Her debut album ‘Skin’ was released in March 2020, followed by her EP ‘Speaking Her Mind’ in October 2021, which both received glowing reviews and attained radio play around the world, including many plays on BBC Introducing. Since then, Anna has experimented as a vocalist and lyricist for Electronic Dance Music, collaborating with artists from genres such as Progressive Trance, Dance, Pop and Rave.

Anna is working on new music and hopes to release again in the near future.

🔥 CONFIRMED 🔥 We're excited to announce The Finn Collinson Band are playing our Main Stage on Sunday 21st June at Beardy Folk Festival 2026 ♥️

Although fundamentally folk in approach, Finn Collinson draws on elements of early music to sculpt his distinctive sound. Traditional dance tunes meet historical melodies, shaken up in striking new arrangements and brought up to date with Finn’s compositions and trademark recorder style. As RNR observes, Finn “has both the chops and the vision to take his music in many directions”.

Joined by two of English folk's most in-demand musicians, Evan Carson (bodhran, percussion) and Archie Churchill-Moss (guitar, accordion), Finn and his band produce a powerful and pioneering sound. Together they create a captivating and wonderfully varied live show, with a respectful eye on the past but a firm grounding in the present.

Considered one of the genre’s foremost innovators on the recorder, Finn is honoured to be part of a growing generation of creative young players on the English folk scene. Formerly shortlisted for the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award, Finn also performs with ceilidh band Stroma and is in demand as a session musician, composer and educator.

Lauren is an accomplished singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist renowned for her original compositions and traditional melodies. With the accompaniment of tenor guitar, fiddle, and shruti box, her songs exude heartfelt emotion and vivid imagery, drawing inspiration from her passion for the nocturnal heavens, the natural world, and her journey through motherhood.

Her debut solo album, Tiny Boat, was released in November 2023 to critical acclaim, with the title track featuring on FATEA’s Spring Showcase 2024.

Lauren's trio comprises of herself, double bass master John Parker, and Lauren's duo partner and ‘just-one-more-guitar'-ist, Keith Donnelly.

🔥 CONFIRMED 🔥 We're delighted to welcome back Mark Radcliffe, one of the great legends of radio ♥️

"An Audience With..." will be celebrating his incredible career with a collection of songs, stories and audience Q&A from the last 40 years. He'll be joined on the Acoustic Stage by David Boardman on Sunday 21st June 2026.

Mark has been one of national radio’s most respected and distinctive voices and is best known for his broadcasting work for the BBC for whom he has worked in various roles since the 1980s.

He began his broadcasting career in local commercial radio in Manchester before a move to BBC Radio 5, where he met and formed a partnership with former The Fall guitarist Marc Riley. In 1991 he moved to BBC Radio 1 closely followed by Riley with whom, under the moniker Mark and Lard, he worked for 11 years on the station.

When the duo departed BBC Radio 1 in 2004, Mark joined BBC Radio 2 as well as presenting various TV shows for the BBC including their coverage of the Glastonbury Festival. He remains on BBC Radio 2, where he presents the weekly programme The Folk Show. On BBC Radio 6 Music he co-hosts the weekend breakfast show with Stuart Maconie.

He has written numerous books with his most recent being "Et Tu, Cavapoo?" In March 2024, Mark and his wife Bella set off from Cheshire in their VW Beetle convertible for a three-month sojourn in Rome taking with them their beloved and pampered five-year old Cavapoo, Arlo. This is an account of their time there, told alternately between Mark and Arlo. Join them as they take in the sights (and sniffs) of Rome.

True Strays love high voltage blues guitar riffs and melodic soul driven bass lines; tied together with harmonic vocals, surging 70s rock Hammond and shimmering psychedelia that takes you down the highway to the sunset and beyond….

The prolific songwriting duo draw influences from classic sounds such as Neil Young, Muddy Waters, Fleetwood Mac and modern retro inspired acts like Alabama Shakes, Gary Clark Jr and the Black Keys.

In 2023, armed with their debut album ‘Heart of the Matter’, lifelong friends James Cameron and Joseph James toured the UK, supported Lukas Nelson & the Promise of the Real and rocked the Joe Bonamassa Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea Mediterranean Cruise alongside the man himself.

They have had radio support from BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 4 and Planet Rock, played in Europe and Scandinavia, survived 100+ shows at festivals such as Edinburgh Jazz & Blues, Green Man, Boomtown, Larmer Tree, Glastonbury and Shambala, featured on the Spotify’s Nu-Blue and Modern Blues Rock playlists, performed for Bob Harris’ Under The Apple Tree Sessions and showcased at the prestigious UK AmericanaFest and the UK Blues Federation’s Blues Challenge.

They will be playing Beardy Folk with their full band.

🔥 CONFIRMED 🔥 We're excited to announce Belinda O'Hooley is playing our Acoustic Stage on Sunday 21st June at Beardy Folk 2026 ❤️

Belinda O’Hooley is an exceptionally gifted pianist, singer, songwriter and composer and has become renowned for her highly individual, emotional, yet sensitive musicality.

She is half of four-time BBC Radio 2 Folk Award Best Duo nominees O’Hooley & Tidow alongside her wife Heidi Tidow; together described by The Guardian as ‘exceptional songwriters.’ Their song ‘Gentleman Jack’ features as the closing theme song for Sally Wainwright’s latest BBC/HBO drama series Gentleman Jack.

Belinda is also known for her inventive, minimalist, sometimes flamboyant accompanying of folk luminaries including Rufus Wainwright, Nic Jones, Jackie Oates and the Mercury-nominated; Rachel Unthank and The Winterset.

Her solo album ‘Inversions’ encapsulates the essence of an artist truly at one with her instrument.

🔥 CONFIRMED 🔥 We're excited to announce Elles Bailey is HEADLINING our Main Stage on Friday 19th June at Beardy Folk 2026 ❤️

The industry has frequently singled out Elles Bailey for her unique take on Americana. Fiercely independent, the British singer-songwriter has been steadily honing her craft for the better part of a decade. Her magnificent voice – instantly recognisable, full of grit – weaves stories of resilience and survival, of hope and new beginnings.

She was crowned 'Live Act of the Year' at the UK Americana Awards 2024, 'Vocalist of the Year' at the UK Blues Awards in 2024 and 2025 and awarded 'Album of the Year' at the UK Blues Awards 2025.

Her third album, 2022’s Shining in the Half Light, topped the Official Jazz and Blues Albums Chart while also hitting No 4 in the UK Independent Albums Chart. Meanwhile her fourth album, Beneath the Neon Glow, peaked at No 12 on the UK Official Albums Chart. It received rave reviews for its raw and candid songwriting, as well Bailey’s “outstanding” vocals that “effortlessly traversed the highs and lows”.

Fellow artists have recognised her talent, too, resulting in opening spots for the likes of Van Morrison, Jools Holland and Rag’n’Bone Man – the latter with whom she also joined for a duet of his hit single “Anywhere Away From Here”.

🔥 CONFIRMED 🔥 After last year's fantastic end to the festival, we're excited to announce Notorious J.I.G are back playing Beardy Folk '26 on Sunday 21st June ♥️

Join us for the OFFICIAL AFTER PARTY in the Acoustic Tent at the top of the Walled Garden. A slightly earlier finish on the Sunday Main Stage means we can play out 2026, and celebrate the Summer Solstice, with this incredible ceilidh band.

Notorious J.I.G is the brainchild of electronica aficionados, trad tune devotees and ceilidh dance cognoscenti. Mixing the hottest breaks from old school and modern hip hop, disco and funk with blistering traditional tunes on fiddle and accordion.

Absolutely no experience is necessary; MC Dan will walk you through and “call” the dances, giving everyone the confidence to get up and bust some moves!

👉 Of course, you don't have to join in the dances. Feel free to just chill out and treat yourself to the last offerings of festival food and beer 😋

Joe and Will Sartin, the talented brothers behind folk duo Patakas, are rapidly making a name for themselves on the festival scene, having only started their musical collaboration just a couple of years ago. Combining Will’s dexterous mandolin, bouzouki and fiddle playing with Joe’s expressive guitar and sublime vocals, the duo creates a captivating and heartfelt acoustic sound, rooted in the tradition of music-making that runs through the core of their family.
