It's not long now until the much anticipated publication of 'Gruffalo Granny' on 10th September and the excitement from local families and their little ones is palpable!

And as if a new Gruffalo story wasn't exciting enough, we are delighted to announce details of a book gifting campaign, thanks to our lovely friends at Macmillan Kids.

Calling all schools! With the new term now underway you may be thinking about organising author / illustrator visits for the coming academic year.

We're very lucky to work with a huge range of publishers on organising author visits for schools and have worked with some incredible and inspiring book creators across the bookshop's history.

We have dates booked in with several authors/illustrators for visits in the autumn and spring terms and still currently have some availability. If you work for a school and want to find out more, NOW is the time to ask!

We LOVE working with authors and illustrators and know that the value and impact of a visit really can't overstated. So, drop a line to [email protected] and we'll be in touch.

❤️📚❤️ PAY IT FORWARD ❤️📚❤️

We were delighted today to welcome Sabera and Shashi from Leicester Hospitals Charity Volunteer Services to the bookshop to collect four bags of books, gifted via our Pay It Forward scheme.

The volunteer service at Leicester's Hospitals is powered by a remarkable group of individuals, all giving their time to support patients on the wards across Leicester's hospitals. The library service at Glenfield is one very important part of this and so we are delighted to be able to gift a range of fiction, colouring books, activity books and coloured pencils to support the team in meeting the needs of patients.

It's thanks to generous donations from our customers that we're able to do this and we want to gift even more!

If you'd like to find out further details, ask in-store of head to the website. Donations are accepted in-store and online and are used to support individuals, families, and organisations across Leicestershire.
