🌸 What an amazing day at Fleurex! 🌸
I had a fabulous day at this year’s Fleurex, the British Florist Association’s trade show for professional florists. As a proud BFA member, it’s always so inspiring to spend time surrounded by people who share the same passion for flowers and our wonderful industry. 💐
There were so many incredible creations on display from talented florists of all ages and stages of their careers. I came away with my head full of ideas and inspiration, which is one of the things I love most about attending events like this.
It was also a great opportunity to catch up with industry suppliers and have some really interesting conversations about the topics shaping floristry today. One that came up again and again was sustainability — how we, as florists, can make more thoughtful choices and be kinder to our planet while still creating beautiful work. 🌿🌍 This is something I feel very passionate about, so it was fantastic to hear about the ideas, products and changes happening within our industry.
A real highlight of the day for me was seeing the incredibly talented demonstrate her work. I’ve followed and admired Hanneke for many years, so watching her create while hearing about her inspirations and experiences within the floristry industry was such a treat. then I actually got to meet her! 🥰 I had the chance to tell her just how much her work has inspired me over the years… and yes, I may have fangirled just a little! 😂🌸
Days like this remind me why I love being a florist. There is always something new to learn, someone new to be inspired by and another way to grow creatively.
I’ve come home feeling inspired, motivated and excited to bring some of that inspiration into my own work. 💐✨
