📢 Important Announcement – Sunday 25th May 2025 📢

Unfortunately, due to the forecasted weather conditions, we’ve had to make the very difficult decision to cancel all outdoor inflatable bookings for tomorrow (Sunday, 25th May 2025).

This is never a decision we take lightly, we know how important your events are, and we fully understand the disappointment and inconvenience this may cause. Our top priority is always the safety of your children and party guests, and based on both the forecast and current conditions, we cannot confidently deliver a safe experience tomorrow.

As many of you know from our phone and email conversations today, we truly appreciate your understanding and patience.

🌦️ The UK weather can be unpredictable, and decisions like this can only be made on the morning of the hire based on the latest available information. Unfortunately, the conditions for tomorrow have led not only us, but companies across the UK, to come to the same conclusion.

As a family-run business, we deeply care about your hire experience and safety. We wouldn’t let our own children use inflatables in these conditions and we apply that same standard to our customers.

Please remember, when bookings don’t go ahead, we don’t earn: so cancellations like this are not taken lightly.

Unfortunately due to high winds and bad weather, we are having to cancel all outdoor booking’s for today. This is something we don’t do lightly.

We are also currently receiving a lot of phone call saying “do you have any inflatables for today as we have been let down”

You haven’t been “Let Down” it’s due to the wind gusts predicted today..

We legally can not supply any items under BSEN14960 / H&SE laws and insurance restrictions when winds or gusts are shown to be 24moh or more. We use the met office and XC Weather to check wind speeds.

As you can see winds are predicted to have gusts of 38 miles an hour 😞

The safety of all customers and users of our equipment is paramount and comes before anything.

We have received a lot of phone called tonight saying “do you have any inflatables for tomorrow as we have been let down”

You haven’t been let down it’s due to the wind gusts tomorrow.

Unfortunately we can not supply any items tomorrow due to the wind speeds, the maximum safe wind speed for inflatables is 24mph

As you can see winds are predicted to have gusts of 40 miles an hour :-(

We are receiving so many messages and phone calls, To hire castles and other items.

I understand times like this and kids being indoors and the good weather it’s ideal.. but unfortunately We can’t do it.. even collection.

This also applies to friends and family, it’s not fair on other children, if I let my friends have one and there are children next door it’s just unfair, I have not even got one in my own garden for my children.

It is NOT essential and is not following government guidelines. People who us and Bounce Time know we do not like to turn people down and say no and We always try and Help anybody Where And when we can but at times like this we need to make sure we all do our bit and keep everyone safe so we can get back to normal.

Finally, some sensible advice.

Good advice in, 'Queen's English', from a nurse.. not from me!

“What I have seen a lot of are recommendations for how to try to avoid getting coronavirus in the first place -- good hand washing, personal hygiene and social distancing -- but what I have NOT seen a lot of is advice for what happens if you actually get it, which many of us will. So as your friendly neighborhood Nurse let me make some suggestions:

You basically just want to prepare as though you know you’re going to get a nasty respiratory bug, like bronchitis or pneumonia. You just have the foresight to know it might come your way!

Things you should actually buy ahead of time (not sure what the obsession with toilet paper is?):
Kleenex,
Paracetamol,
whatever your generic, mucus thinning cough medicine of choice is (check the label and make sure you're not doubling up on Paracetamol)
Honey and lemon can work just as well!
Vick vaporub for your chest is also a great suggestion.

If you don’t have a humidifier, that would be a good thing to buy and use in your room when you go to bed overnight. (You can also just turn the shower on hot and sit in the bathroom breathing in the steam).

If you have a history of asthma and you have a prescription inhaler, make sure the one you have isn’t expired and refill it/get a new one if necessary.

This is also a good time to meal prep: make a big batch of your favorite soup to freeze and have on hand.

Stock up on whatever your favorite clear fluids are to drink - though tap water is fine you may appreciate some variety!

For symptom management and a fever over 38°c / 100°f, take Paracetamol rather than Ibuprofen.

Hydrate (drink!) hydrate, hydrate!
Rest lots. You should not be leaving your house! Even if you are feeling better you may will still be infectious for fourteen days and older people and those with existing health conditions should be avoided!
Ask friends and family to leave supplies outside to avoid contact.

You DO NOT NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL unless you are having trouble breathing or your fever is very high (over 39°C / 102°f) and unmanaged with meds. 90% of healthy adult cases thus far have been managed at home with basic rest/hydration/over-the-counter meds.

If you are worried or in distress or feel your symptoms are getting worse, ring 111 and they will advise if you need to go to hospital. The hospital beds will be used for people who actively need oxygen/breathing treatments/IV fluids.

If you have a pre-existing lung condition (COPD, emphysema, lung cancer) or are on immunosuppressants, now is a great time to talk to your Doctor or specialist about what they would like you to do if you get sick.

One major relief to you parents is that kids do VERY well with coronavirus— they usually bounce back in a few days (but they will still be infectious), Just use pediatric dosing .

Be calm and prepare rationally and everything will be fine. Share this as it's great advice!"

Seeing Schools are closing due to the Coronavirus from Friday 20th March 2020 for the foreseeable future.

This Daily Schedule might just help some people plan for the days / weeks / months ahead of us all.

Unfortunately this years Halloween scary walk at East Carlton Country Park has been cancelled this year. 😭

We are sorry but hope to have it back next year!
