Keswick Games - Sunday 16th August 2026 - Fitz Park, Keswick

This years event includes a special Fell Race up and down Latrigg as a challenge to beat the long standing course record of 16mins 37 secs set by local legend Kenny Stuart in 1984. There is also a Ladies record of 20mins 00secs set by Victoria Wilkinson in 2005. The race is being organised by Carl Bell on behalf of Keswick Athletic Club with a special prize of £500 for anyone who can beat the record or £250 for getting within a minute. The race will start at 2.00pm over a flagged course with an entry fee of £5 and is open to anyone over 13 on the day.

** A Junior cross country style race for ages 6 to 12 on the day will be held at 1.00pm.

Later in the day at approx. 3.30 pm will be a repeat of the grass track One Mile Race - 4 laps of the Cricket Field - for men and women. Michael Glen, competing in the heyday of the former Keswick Sports in 1955, set what was a new World and British grass track record of 4mins 7secs at the time which still stands as the Keswick record.

Food/Coffee Van Wanted – Keswick Games 2026! 🍕 - Sunday 16th August

We're looking for a local food van (Keswick or the surrounding villages) serving pizza/coffee or similar to join us at the Keswick Games on Sunday 16th August 2026.

Location: Fitz Park, Keswick
Time: 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

It's going to be a very busy day, so it's a great opportunity for a local food vendor!

🎉 Keswick Games is back in Fitz Park! 🎉

After the huge success of Party in the Park, we're looking forward to another fantastic community event hosted by Keswick Town Council

Sunday 16th August
11am–4pm

Grab your friends and enter a team of 6 for the chance to win a cash prize! There's also plenty for everyone to enjoy, with free children's activities, fun sporting challenges, and lots to have a go at.

Today Keswick PCSO Holly and PCSO Pete spoke with Keswick Mayor Natalie at Party in the Park. It was a lovely day with lots of people enjoying the sun and the great music. Everyone seemed to be having a fantastic time.
