✨ It’s almost time for the Keswick Christmas Lights Switch On, — happening Friday 21st November!

🎶 Who else is as excited as we are to hear The Kasios live?! 🎶

They’ve got an amazing set lined up to get you dancing in the Market Square! 💃🕺

🎸 The Kasios will be playing from 6 PM, and the lights will be switched on at 7 PM! 🌟

We’re delighted that Keswick Community Housing Trust has accepted Keswick Town Council's invitation to switch on the Keswick Christmas Lights this year! 🌟🎄🎄

This special honour celebrates the Trust’s incredible achievement in receiving The King’s Award ⭐️⭐️ — and recognises the amazing local volunteers whose dedication makes such a positive difference in the community.👏👏

Find out more about their aim 'to provide homes for local people who cannot afford to buy or rent long-term accommodation at current market prices'.

We’re excited to announce the key dates for Keswick Town Council’s 2026 community events — a fantastic line-up of free events for locals to enjoy throughout the year! 🥳✨

Here’s what’s coming up:

What a superb community event!

The very First Keswick Games was a huge hit. Well done to everyone involved. 👏👏

The children's races and activities were a blast from the past with egg and spoon\sack races The hot sun didn't slow anyone down, an impressive effort from them all and I think lots of ice cream was eaten afterwards Luchini's 😎.

Here are a few Keswick Games photographs for you to enjoy, taken by professional photographer John Gravett who kindly donated his time on Sunday to capture these moments perfectly.

Thank you to all the teams that took part, for all your enthusiasm, grit and determination. It was so much fun to watch 😆.

A big thank you Keith Richardson and John Bryson for the commentary 👏👏 and the amazing team at The Keswick Cricket Club. The BBQ was delicious.

We already have a queue of teams ready to sign up for next year with the hope of taking home the Keswick Games Trophy and cash prize 🏆.

The Keswick Town Council events wouldn't be possible without the help and support from our fantastic local volunteers. Thank you to Keswick Lions and Keswick Scouts for all your support on Sunday.

A special mention must go to Councillor Robert Nelson , who was the driving force behind The Games and Councillor Steve Harwood who meticulously planned, measured and timed the races, supported by our local councillors and volunteers. 👏👏.

It was great to have The Hallo Dandy and The Sheep Fold with us on the day to keep us hydrated. BEE UNIQUE once again were a huge hit with the kids and Keswick Adventures' axe throwing and archery were great fun!

**Oh and did you hear ....? Cumberland Scaffolding were the over all champions!! 🙌💪💪🏆🥇. ** However, it has to be said that everyone that took part are winners!
