'Light'
In the realm of shadows, where darkness dwells, I found a spark, a light that compels. For in the depth of night, a truth unveiled, A beauty hidden, a tale untrailed.

Embrace the dark, for it holds no fright, In its ebony cloak, stars ignite. The moon, a beacon, guiding our way, A celestial dance, night and day.

With flickering candles, a gentle glow, We conquer fears that once did grow. For in the darkest hours, we find, A strength within, a power unbind.

In shadows' arms, we learn to see, The light that shines eternally. Embrace the dark, let fear take flight, For in its midst, we find our light.
There's something about using natural light and playing with exposure in camera that I find fascinating. I don't often say it but I'm really happy with the detail shots I got for
& Ryan's wedding at yesterday.

What a wedding day for & Sam yesterday. A day full of so many beautiful touches but this one I absolutely loved. A special poem written by the bride to her parents.

'The more you leave out, the more you highlight what you leave in'
I love this moment of Lee the groom getting ready at from my last wedding of 2022. As you all know, natural light is a passion of mine. I will never rock up to your wedding with a huge lighting set up, that's not my style.
To some, the idea of turning of artificial light in a room seems crazy but trust the professionals when they do this because we know how good it looks on film and photos. This look was achieved by some very simple steps, lights turned off, the groom got ready facing the natural light and I exposed in camera to isolate his face in the light.

'Love in the dark'
Something I will always love is exposing in camera to get a beautiful sillhoute shot. There's just something special about them, sometimes removing detail from the shot often makes it more intriguing to the viewer.
Could I have exposed here so you could see the couples faces? Absolutely, would it have had the same effect and colour this shot has? Nope. I'm still always refining my style everytime I pick my camera up but I'm 100% certain that sillhoute shots will always be in my films where possible.
Thank you to everyone who has enquired and booked recently, unfortunately I've had to turn away lots due to already being booked this year, 2024 is filling up quickly as well which is just mind blowing with some new mega venues booked in!

'Be proud of the work you do, the person you are and the difference you make'
Yesterday I received some amazing feedback from .annnoblet &
I can not recommend CW Film Productions enough for your special day. If you are on the fence about getting a videographer, I would say get off it and book him before someone else does. The day goes in such a flash and whilst you feel the love and happiness from the day long after the wedding, having Craig's stunning film really helps you relive the day and shows all sorts of details and reactions from people that you may have missed. He is the ultimate professional, you would barely know he was there but of course he is and he is capturing every special and beautiful moment. He is a genius and his eye for detail is spectacular. I am yet to see a wedding film captured with even half of the detail and splendor that Craig can offer. I am a complete perfectionist and I will admit I was nervous incase I wanted different shots or moments captured but there is not one element of the film I would alter. It is perfect! Thank you Craig!

'Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn'
Sunrises and sunsets are something I'll never get bored of watching/filming. Each one is different and you never know what you're going to get!
2023 is going to be a year to remember for me; the hard work over the years has paid off and I have some absolute mega weddings booked in this year. To name a few... I'm at 6 times this year, filming at the stunning .weddings for the first time, for the first time, twice this year, back at which I filmed twice last year, for a very special wedding, weddings booked in at my beautiful local venue , , , a beautiful Christmas wedding at and many more wedding all around the Lake District and UK. Can't wait to get out and enjoy it all!

'Pause for a moment and reflect'
My little break for Instagram is over. I decided to take a little break to just be present with those around me, reflect upon what a year it has been and this whole journey.
Social media is such a positive tool to use but it also carries so many negative factors with it. Constantly comparing your own work to others, worrying about people not interacting with work you're so proud of... the list is long and can be overwhelming at times.
I've got one last wedding to shoot at and then my 2022 season is officially over and what a year it has been. Made so many new friends in this industry, achieved goals I set out to achieve and I can look back on it all and say I'm proud of myself.

'At the edge of darkness, you will find light'
The colours of the flowers yesterday for Stephanie Benn & Jonny Benn wedding at .lythvalley were stunning, it had all the Autumunal feels. This was a wedding like no other, music festival vibes all day long and right through the night, absolutely mega 👊👊.
Another wedding with the talented duo .and.kin & ... thanks for everything guys, you two are always a dream to work with 🙌.
The was my first wedding working with the new GH6 and wow... it did not dissapoint at all. I'm so excited to start the journey of working out how to get the absolute best from this beast 📷.

'If you want it, work for it'
I remember the first early days of setting up my business, investing in a pre owned; some may say, 'outdated' camera but I was so proud of myself for taking the leap of faith and investing in myself. I've grafted every spare hour possible since then on social media, free work for businesses, venues and it's been worth it.
Last week I once again took the leap and invested heavily in myself and my future in the new GH6 camera. Never ever did I think I'd have this as my A cam, and 2 gh5's as my b and c cam. Will this camera instantly change my work? No. Will the 1000's of hours shooting, researching, learning and challenging myself each wedding to improve help take me to where I want to be? Absolutely. This is just merely a tool that opens up opportunities for me to push myself and my work to get to where I want to be and I can't wait to get to work with it.

'There is beauty in darkness'
A little detail shot I grabbed yesterday morning at wedding at the stunning
I do love the morning of a wedding, it's one of the only parts of the day where I can control external factors such as lighting. Yesterday was SUPER sunny, I closed the curtains to leave a small beam of light cast on the flowers to get this look which I love.

Yesterday's wedding had it all, beautiful weather, stunning venue, garden games, music and everyone was loving every second of it. Great to work alongside yesterday. A huge congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Bamber.

I do love a Lake District wedding for so many reasons but mainly because of the unbelievable scenery and & Ryan made the most of it.

is all of these things. You know it's a venue to remember and that's before you even step into the grounds. It always looks stunning from above. Want to get married in the Lakes? This venue has it all! Extremely high end finishes, unvelieavble grounds, personal access down to Lake Windermere and a team of staff who always go above and beyond to make sure your day is as special as it should be!
