To say we are gutted to be missing the opening of the beautiful orangery is an understatement.

However we have some exciting news as Julia has kindly let us put on a little summer do next month. This is open to all and free for our booked 26+27 Garthmyl Couples.

You can expect good tunes, ample canapes & indulgent evening food with Cocktails, wine & beer available from the Garthmyl team. An opportunity to enjoy the stunning new Orangery and feel all the good vibes that come with a party at the hall.

This starter was a bespoke creation for A+C incorporating late summer produce.

Homemade Focaccia, Serrano ham, Chargrilled stone fruit, Burrata, pickled radicchio & a fermented chilli, honey & garlic dressing

It was both pretty to look and super tasty so secured it's place on our full menu and I can't wait to see this served in the new Orangery this year.

I got so excited when Alice & Christie sent me these incredible shots of their wedding food. Firstly because it's so rare for us to get photos of our food being enjoyed in the moment.

Secondly because they are just so vibrant and the colours lift me. They capture the feeling of the day perfectly and how the food fitted with the whole essence of the wedding.

I've decided it's finally time to come out of hibernation. This winter has been wet, cold, and muddy.

We get to March and I'm always surprised at the feeling of excitement that comes over me when the first shoots of green and rays of sunshine start lighting up our lives.

The spring time ends our downtime and signals the start of the busy months to come. The excitement builds, my creativity starts bubbling. I wake Shay telling him that I've dreamt of something delicious that he will have to help me cook today. The boys have to eat all sorts of interesting creations. That's our world right now.

Well a little late to the 2025 round up party but here goes ...

Wedding wise it has been a pure joy to be involved with some of the events we have this year. Our 2025 couples seriously brought the love & vision to the table! 

I would be lying if I said it was always a walk in the park, juggling an intense work schedule, kids, horses, dogs & partying isn't ever going to be easy. But I do feel that we've found a better balance and will be aiming to bring this into 2026.

I have always been someone who continually adds more and more in to my life until it's so very full that it can become overwhelming. So the beginning of last year I stripped everything right back which then allowed me some space to add In some new stuff, so on a personal level I've learnt how to mix & to play golf! And for that 2025 I will be forever grateful.

We've taken a real break this year over Christmas and new year and it's been refreshing. Feeling ready to embrace the challenges & projects that I have in store in 2026.

There are some very exciting plans in the pipeline, so watch this space.

From me, Shay & the boys we wish all of our friends, family & clients a very happy New year.
