As everybody knows we have always had a good footfall through our gates however we feel that we are trying to compete with to bigger and more established carboots which is ultimately impacting trade at our events. This has resulted in us having to cancel events, sometimes at last minute which hasn’t been ideal for anyone; as you can appreciate it’s difficult to push an event with minimal stall holders booked on.
In light of this, we have spent a long time trying to debate how we can move forward with the event to make it a success for everyone. With this in mind, we are thinking about trialling Rodley Outdoor Market on a Saturday rather a Sunday. Would any of our past or future stall holders be interested in an outdoor market / traditional carboot or would people still prefer to have it on a Sunday?
Would you want in once or twice a month?
Would want it 10am-2pm or 12pm-4pm?
We are also proposing a cut off date for booking on for stall holders, this would be the Thursday before the event so it gives people the time to make alternative arrangements.
Unfortunately due to previous issues with stall holders booking on but not turning up on the day, we would be asking for payment which would need to be paid before the Thursday cut off.
We would appreciate peoples thoughts and comments. All comments / suggestions will be taken on board 😊.
Many thanks
