When we got married The Vines of Rochester in 2024 it was perfect- I couldn’t recommend this venue enough.

The building itself is stunning, located a stones throw away from Rochester Highstreet, a place I love so much.

The interiors are dreamy and the staff are wonderful. The food was complimented by all (absolutely delicious!).

I think finding a venue that makes you both feel happy is so important. The history & the decor were the main things on the list for us - Even the bathrooms are gorgeous ! Oh and it’s dog friendly ! 🐾

I get asked from so many of my brides & grooms where I would recommend to get married and for us, this place is magical . ✨

It’s your special day so always find your happy place .

“Did you know one of Rochester’s most beautiful wedding venues is hidden just a few steps from the High Street?

Unless you’ve been lucky enough to attend a wedding there, there’s a good chance you’ve never even seen inside The Vines of Rochester.

Tucked away behind Rochester Cathedral, this beautifully restored Grade II listed building (formerly The Old Archdeaconry) is now an exclusive-use wedding venue, complete with boutique bedrooms, stunning gardens and even a Nordic-style tipi for outdoor ceremonies. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from Rochester Castle and the High Street, yet feels like a hidden retreat.

We’ve been thinking about filming a full behind the scenes tour of the venue, showing you inside the house, the gardens, the ceremony spaces and all those hidden corners that most people never get to see.
