Introducing Sowing the Seeds.

Our three day introduction to floral design has been completely reimagined for a new chapter at Underley.

More considered. More creative. More immersive. And designed to give you so much more than a collection of techniques.

Over three beautiful days, you’ll learn, create, experiment and begin to find confidence in your own hands and your own ideas.

We’ll work with seasonalflowers, creating everything from the beautifully gathered bouquet and statement vase to larger, collaborative designs — including our new Final Flourish.

No experience required. No pressure to know where it might lead.

Perhaps you simply want three days to yourself, surrounded by flowers and like-minded people. Perhaps you’ve been quietly wondering whether floristry could become something more.

Either way, this is where you begin.

Sow the seeds of something new — with three days of creativity, confidence and beautifully considered floral design.

Meet Maisie!
Here for three days of floral design. Working with our friends at Hortus Poeticus she knows a thing or two about flowers!
Having had the opportunity to work with the team at Chelsea and on large scale events and weddings Maisie is here to figure out her style as well as sustainable mechanics. Speaking of which the foundation of this is paper cups and chickenwire!

Marquee Masterclass - the return!
Another fabulous day Kirklinton Hall Weddings & Events last week.
Thanks to Jess for always being so welcoming, to Sophie and Kate for the most perfect ingredients and of course to everyone who joined my day of learning..

Here you come again!
Re-using flowers from last week.
One day you’re high up in a marquee, the next you’re down low in a bowl!

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve said to students - source the right ingredients and your design is all but there!

When you have a vision talk to your growers - with enough time for them to be able to grow for you. Talk with your grower months ahead of time - plan plan plan!

Enjoy these few images of my bank holiday play date - trust me when I say there were literally hundreds more!
Photography is my second greatest passion and I’ll often spend more time shooting flowers than creating them!

A rare Saturday date with Tallulah Rose… and a rather beautiful way to spend it.

Join me at our new home on Underley Estate for EVERLASTING — a full day of flowers, creativity and the art of making something truly special.

Working with an abundant choice of British-grown everlasting flowers, you’ll create a generous, large-scale wreath, entirely your own design.
I’ll guide you through the techniques and design, but you gather your materials and create something you’ll want to keep for years. A work of art.

There’ll be plenty of flowers, plenty of choice. And time to simply switch off and create.

Saturday 14th November 10am until 4.30pm.
Underley Estate, Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria

Saturday courses at Tallulah Rose are a rarity, so if weekdays are usually tricky for you, this one might just have your name on it.

Introducing Underley Estate, our new home, from October. Call this a sneak peek, a tease!

Words I would use the describe our new home; beautiful, peaceful, picturesque. The soundtrack; birdsong and well, quiet, the kind of quiet that instantly calms. The scent of our surroundings; fresh country air!

Surrounded by land and amazing stone walls were only a walk away from the village of Kirkby Lonsdale where you’ll find a bustling main street. You’ll find cafes, a bakery, shops and on Thursdays a local produce market too.

I think most importantly it feels me, it’s spot on for Tallulah’s next chapter - it even has an iconic door!

If you’d like to be the first to visit then join my Tallulah Social Club on October 17th, a gathering of like minded folk, inspirational speakers, lunch and a tour of our new home.

Marquee Masterclass…

Would you like to know how to create flowers on a grand scale — without the pre-event nerves? Of course you would.

Whether you’re a florist ready to take on larger-scale work with confidence, a creative looking for a new challenge, a marquee company wanting to offer something more, or simply a flower lover looking for an unforgettable experience, this day is for you.

Join me on 27th August for a day of big flowers, big ideas and hands-on learning.

We’ll work together to create large-scale, sustainable designs within a marquee setting — looking at mechanics, proportion, placement and all those little details that make the difference between hoping it will work and knowing it will.

Expect skills, support, knowledge and plenty of the tips.

You’ll leave with more than photographs of something beautiful. You’ll leave knowing you could do it again.
