We have some brand-new positions available within the Brewery Arts team!

Cleaner:
We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team and help keep our spaces clean, welcoming and well presented. You’ll take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across our venue and working independently while also being part of a friendly and supportive team.

Casual Cleaning Support:
This is a flexible, ad hoc role with shifts offered as and when required. Work may include providing cover for staff absence, supporting during busy periods and working at festivals and events. There is no expectation of regular weekly shifts.

Volunteer Gardeners:
You’ll help with a range of seasonal gardening tasks, from planting and weeding to general maintenance and keeping our gardens welcoming for visitors. It’s a great opportunity to spend time outdoors, meet new people and make a visible difference to our venue and community.

Join local artist Catherine MacDiarmid Artist for our upcoming Introduction to Portrait Drawing and Introduction to Life Painting courses.

Working with a live sitter each week, these friendly and supportive courses offer artists of all abilities the opportunity to build confidence and develop their observational skills. Through a series of enjoyable exercises, demonstrations and discussions, you’ll explore techniques for capturing a likeness, working from life and developing your own approach. 👀

Kendal Music Festival takes over this weekend, with local bands and artists performing in the Malt Room on Friday afternoon before the music heads out to the Garden on Saturday 🎶

Fusing punk energy with country-rock harmonies, the Long Ryders bridged the gap between Gram Parsons and today’s Americana heroes, influencing acts such as Wilco, The Jayhawks, and Uncle Tupelo.
