A busy couple of weeks, starting with some little explorers coming to visit the farm and the polytunnel.

The farm here is a mixed livestock farm with a herd of commercial beef cattle, a flock of breeding sheep and two free range hen sheds. Enough to keep everyone busy...

Always a joy to show little people around and hear their questions. We talked about seeds in the polytunnel and what they need to grow. Most popular parts of the day were the tractor ride and the ice creams!

A big bunch from last week, with lots of frothy pastel gorgeousness. May is a tricky time for flower farmers, but with the most beautiful flowers...

Now back to sowing, weeding, planting out, staking, and of course... Watering ... 🙄

A bouquet from last week, because I'm only just catching up with myself...

A little bit of everything is my favourite kind of bouquet because it challenges you to find the little bits that pull all the colours and textures together.

I do love a spring twiggy bit...

Hadn't realised how much I had missed them... Last year's tulips were a bit of a disaster so it is so nice to be back 🩷

Loads of lovely feedback on orders out last week, thank you 💐

Just a reminder that if you would like to order, all you need to do is drop me a message. 👍

About time I said hello again, and a rare occasion where I'll show my ugly mug. I know I should do it more but I would much rather show you beautiful flowers!

It's been a little while... I think I have been holding on to the idea of winter as long as I can but there is no denying that Spring is coming whether I'm ready or not.

We have oodles of plants doing nicely in the tunnel and many more desperate to get out into the field. I can't wait for you to see the gorgeousness that is to come.

Thanks for being here, I'd love you to keep following along. Let me know if there is anything you want to see more of. 😊

A few photos from a styled shoot organised through Flowers From the Farm. It was the first meet up I have had chance to get to for a while and I'm so glad I went. A gorgeous venue - . Growers took flowers and florists worked their magic. Had the chance to learn about mechanics from some wonderfully experienced people who were very generous with their knowledge. They created this gorgeous arch which was the backdrop for photos.

was so patient with us all and did such a marvellous job of capturing all the details.

Bouquet made by me with flowers grown here in Cumbria.

Late September brought curated buckets for Xanthea and George who got married at Allan Bank. They came and picked up buckets on route to their wedding and being growers and gardnera themselves it was so lovely to chat with them for a little while. Their van was stuffed full of wedding essentials - cake, flowers and even the dress.

They put flowers collected from me together with ones gathered themselves from allotments and gardens to make arrangements all around the wedding. Just perfect and so personal.

Wishing them much happiness for her future.

With thanks to for a last minute add on of an extra bucket.

I did it again and disappeared for a while didn't I?! 🙈 Unintentional I promise. The field is now finished for the season but the last couple of weeks have been so busy with learning opportunities and plans for the future - I just have to implement it all now... 😬 I'll share more over the next few weeks.
