Friday Mantra - It’s June in 2 f’ing days.

M A Y has been a blast, our second busiest month of the year COMPLETED IT MATE and we even found the time to create something gorgeous for Cartmel Races, host a workshop and meet with art curator staff at TATE Liverpool for something cute coming 2027 🙈

A depth of gratitude to our freelancers this month who have been incredible to work with you have all been wonderful

My camera roll is full of admin screenshots, kids eating nice meals (primarily because I’ve had no time to cook) and train tickets for business meetings - so here’s some highlights I was able to grab quickly.

It’s ALSO been one of the busiest months on the farm with highland cattle babies, broody hens and about 3,000 flower seedlings to plant out. Ready set go to finish planting out by my Wednesday deadline and can’t wait to share the cutting patches with you this summer!

Treated myself to a gift today because I’m very proud we got through with zero hiccups or mental break downs ❤️🫠🔥 plus summer is going to require a S tonne of caffeine.

What a bloody J O Y to be back at today for the marriage of Paige and Lewis ❤️

Pinks, Burgundy’s and Lilacs made modern but STILL timelessly ethereal with the use of individually hand wired orchids and Pom Pom Dahlia (my actual favourite flower combo ever). The ultimate in textural romance aesthetic.

Show me more beautiful wisteria than that on the farm house and I’ll eat my hat. I am forever captivated by the beauty of this venue.

Ready for Paige to accept my application to be her friend, thank you to you both (hey Lewis) for being so incredibly chill and cool.

Thank you to all the gorgeous Huns who assembled today (in the busiest month of our calendar year no less) to have a few hours of creative fun. I’m so very lucky to be surrounded by so many accommodating and incredible suppliers.

And a special thank you to all the gorgeous photographers and content creatives who came along to gracefully share their talents.

A tale of two weather systems, one golf buggy and a very large 14 by 5 ft floral installation…

There’s no venue just as facilitating as when it comes to ‘if we can we will’ and with their attitude and our full day service, you don’t need to worry about a thing.

The most beautiful nest installation for my gorgeous Bride (am I loving that so many of you want to order customised nest? Yes, yes I am - they are a personal speciality and I never think you can have too much whimsy).

Megan and Kenny over at the INCREDIBLE yesterday. Their stunning Lake View Terrace makes for strong competition aesthetically, but I think we pulled it out the bag 👌

A wonderful venue to flower and we’re so looking forward to being back here more frequently.

A delight to use such a mixture of spring blooms mixed with some incredibly sentimental lilacs.

Editorial Whimsy for Rachel and Harry today ❤️

We’re currently working 18 hour days so I’m much too tired to caption this how it deserves to be… but I will say I’ve never heard so many men at one wedding call the flowers sexy before and the gasps were fully audible. I have had SUCH fun bringing all of this together.

An absolute pleasure to birth this concept to life and the joy of watching Rachel and Harry’s little boy Frankie eat the fruit from the ceremony installation was just too wholesome to ever forget.

Happy 7th Birthday to The Boss, Reuben

I was pregnant with Reuben when I took my flower training at Myerscough and some things clearly stuck with both of us.

Always quietly tucked away behind the scenes, but he’s changed each wedding for the better in ways you can’t imagine.

I’ve never asked him for any help and yet, he’s saved many unseeing guests from being soaked at breakneck speed by carrying umbrellas half his size, folded countless napkins perfectly to your briefs, unpacked the van hundreds of times, conditioned thousands of flowers and even foliaged up some arrangements.

The boys a Florist and because he does it all under my wings, gets no credit - but a very decent wage.

So thank you Reuben for being so much more incredible at this job than I ever imagine or knew a child would be.

Tonight and Tomorrow we’re going to celebrate his birthday the way he deserves ❤️

To all the wonderful parents working in the industry or once were children who have grown up in the wedding industry - I’ll have a toast to you tonight x

Already work in the wedding industry in some capacity and looking to mix things up? Experienced Florist or a small growing business with free weekend dates?

Seeking someone who meets ALL the BELOW and SOME of the DESIRABLE (note this is not a designer position but can lead to design work)

Has enough experience to understand that Floristry is fundamentally graft intense, putting / placing and messy work. Can solo work with confidence and manage weather related problems if they arise in real time.

Can work respectfully with other wedding vendors expressing gratitude and manners in even challenging circumstances, with no exceptions.

Is capable of liaising on site with wedding party in a manner of the upmost respect and professionalism.

Has own mode of transportation, preferably a van or large estate vehicle.

An understanding of how vendors work together, especially timelines set by caterers and event planners / coordinators and our place in this.

Physically fit enough to lift and move large installations in very small time windows.

Can follow a timeline and instructions from front leadership.

Can work all ‘peak leisure’ times including Saturdays of bank and summer holidays.

DESIRABLES

Some experience in Floristry (although not required in this role as would suit someone already working in or familiar with the industry). Note - wedding industry work is essential if no experience in floristry.

Experience in foam free mechanics.

Owner of a small business wishing to grow through experience and affiliation.

M A R C H

The marvellous month of March. We’ve been busy behind the scenes with consultations, reinvesting in our stock with timeless terracotta fresh from the streets of rural Italy, briefs and bookings for 2027, sowing over 1,000 seeds and tubers, a cheeky holiday to Southern Spain, flowering 3 GORGEOUS foam free weddings, ordering building equipment for our upcoming education space, 1 open weekend, meeting with fellow suppliers for catchups, a trip to to plan for a summer wedding, stealing quiet moments in cafes to read comics and now the Easter Holidays ❤️

The lighter nights have given me a new battery of energy much needed after the darker winter months and we can’t wait for more to follow.
