Funerals don't have to be sombre but instead a joyful celebration of your loved one's life.
Some lovely feedback from yesterday's client regarding his Mum's ceremony.

'Hi Paula, Just wanted to express my gratitude for your service yesterday, the reading was much better than my expectations with a little humour thrown in as well lifted the mood.

A lovely email from the family regarding Thursday's ceremony at Tarn Moor.

'Hi Paula, Just a brief note to thank you, most sincerely, for the lovely Eulogy you delivered at our Mums funeral yesterday up at Tarn Moor.
You told Mums story perfectly and she would have agreed with everything you said.
She is now back with our Dad, who sadly passed away almost 20 years ago, and they now lie side by side up on Tarn Moor.
It was a sad day and an emotional day but it felt just right and I have had many e mails and message from our family members and friends who were present to say just that.
So thank you once again for allowing us to say goodbye to our Mum in such a sensitive and serene way.

My very first visit to Tarn Moor Memorial Woodland today for a beautiful ceremony in the outdoors and the rain held off as well! We didn't let a bit of mud get in the way of celebrating this amazing lady's life.
It is in a stunning location and you feel as though you are miles away in the countryside surrounded by nature and yet it is only a 5 minute drive from Skipton town centre.
A big thank you to Becky who was very welcoming when I arrived and to Suzanne Bairstow Independent Funeral Director who not only gave me the opportunity to lead today's ceremony but also crafted the really lovely flower tributes using flowers from the lady's garden. They looked absolutely gorgeous.

First visit to Shay Grange Crematorium since it opened this morning - an amazing facility with the choice of two chapels which can be combined for larger gatherings. Very impressive and nice to have designated parking spaces as well for celebrants/clergy. Plenty of room and very accessible with wide open spaces for manoevring around.

Sad ceremony this morning for a 96 year old lady with no next of kin 😔 thankfully the funeral director I was working with and the crem attendant sat in for the service to ensure she was not alone and to wish her farewell 💔

Another lovely ceremony today for a special man - massive Cougars fan so it was fabulous to see people wearing their shirts and lovely tributes from his family. A very special ceremony indeed ❤️❤️❤️
