Thank you to Tommys family for having me paint some of my favourite characters at a Toy Story themed party today! Sadly I didn’t get photos of Forky etc but I did get a few including the cutest little cowgirl who totally understood the assignment! (As did I, check out my home made t shirt)

A couple of lovely reviews from the last few weeks — and honestly, they’re like glitter to me (and if you’ve met me, you know how much I love glitter)!

Thank you to everyone who books us, recommends us, chats to us, and lets us be part of your celebrations. The smiling faces, the “wow!” moments and seeing everyone enjoy themselves are exactly why we love what we do — and we’re so glad you do too.

Now I’ve came back to earth I think Paisley Music and Arts Street Festival deserves its own post.

Fun facts: 101 children left with some of my doodles on their faces, another 7 opted for gems or festival glitter, and I genuinely lost count of how many parents ended up glittered along the way!

All of it with a backdrop of an excellent soundtrack and a really good atmosphere. The chat was funny, the activities were great, and big up to the lovely ladies from The Loft @ Browns Lane in the art tent and the lovely man that brought me a sugary coffee - you helped me power through the last hour lol.

It was great to see Paisley so busy and the buzz it created around the town. Events like this can only be a good thing, and I really hope this is the start of an annual fixture.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Doodlebug tent, including the irrepressible Erin Hephzibah — and to those who embraced the glitter, whether they planned to or not!

Well today was another busy one with a wonderful Spidey-themed birthday party and the Paisley Music and Arts Street Festival!

The party, of course, had lots and lots of little Spideys… but also a fried egg head! I mean, who doesn’t take the opportunity to do that when they can?! 🍳

Over at the festival, amongst the pretty florals and glitter - the off-menu requests included axolotls, a couple of Mahitos (not to be confused with Mojitos), hearts, bows, a pink sparkly, dinosaur and quite a lot of “surprise me!” and “match my outfit!”

Thank you again for letting the Doodlebugs colour you in 🎨

Another day of painting smiles — this time with two Doodlebugs at St Kevin's Primary Bargeddie Community Hub and another at Dancewest Renfrewshire.

Can’t wait to see all those lovely faces and add a little Doodlebug magic to the day!

Just when I think I’ve seen it all, here are some of the things kids have asked to be painted as this week:

🌻 A full-face sunflower
🦋 A brown butterfly
✨ A full-face glitter dumpling
🎤 Jem (and the Holograms)

With a little artistic license, the moth — sorry, brown butterfly — actually turned out beautifully and earned me my first on-the-job hug after the very enthusiastic “WOW!”

Jem was also declared “cool”… although I may have developed a touch of painty PTSD from some of the others. The weans, however, were absolutely over the moon, so that’s what matters.

And that’s the thing about facepainting: you’re never done learning.

Keeps me on my toes, anyway 😂

Come along, have a wander, check out the hidden gems of the lane, enjoy the music and activities and, of course, get yourself a little colour and sparkle ✨
